With an author's note about what big siblings need—extra guidance, reassurance, love—and sweet, engaging artwork, it's no wonder that nearly 4 million families have chosen I’m a Big Brother and its companion book, I’m a Big Sister, to prepare their young ones for their first big transition. "Someone new is at our house," begins this loving, reassuring celebration of brotherhood from trusted author Joanna Cole.Told through the eyes of a new older brother, this simple story lays out all the good things about being an older sibling, and just how exciting welcoming a new member to the family can be.

My elder son liked it..

My 2.5 year old son is becoming much more open to the idea of a sibling arriving with this book (and others that I have ordered) - he wasn't too welcoming to the idea earlier! The real reaction will only be known on baby's arrival

Great book!
We purchased this book a couple months before our second child was born and read it once a week with our oldest child. Over time, he started to mention his baby brother in his mommy’s tummy and would smile when we would talk about him. Now that the baby is here, the only thing that he has ever said is how much he loves his baby brother so I guess it worked out well! Great book!!

Beautiful gift from our new baby to big bro
This book is so beautiful. Our new baby girl gave it to her big brother in hospital when he first met her. Was so special.

Simple but ok
The book is ok although very simple and doesn't really approach many subjects. We also bought Babies Don't Eat Pizza, which was a lot more complete so we're saving this one for when he baby is actually here. I don't think it's great to prepare an older child for a baby but it's a nice little book.
