Perfect replacement
Replaced the same model with this new one. Perfect fit, same exact item....but the new one works.

Great 12 Volt Fluorescent Light
I bought this light to cover a hole that was bored into an area by the RV dealer who originally installed a digital TV tuner. I removed that tuner and installed a high definition TV/DVD combo. The Thin-Lite is fluorescent and operates on 12 volts. It's more energy efficient than the standard 12 volt incandescent lights, found in most RVs. That's an important factor if you "DRY CAMP" (without AC power). My only concern is the price seems excessive. However, this is a common issue for most RV accessories. Once you accept the price, you'll be glad you bought the Thin-Lite...

Just right for my project
I needed a thin 12VDC light for a project in our motor home. It worked perfect when mounted underneath an electronics shelf above our front room sofa. I would have preferred not having "Thin-Lite" stenciled on the end facing the entrance as it was black letters on a white surface which really stood out.

This brand and this product are terrible. Cheap junk!!! When I opened the box the lense already had a crack along one corner. It says that this light is for surface mount, yet it has no recess for the wires to fit into, so I had to jury-rig something. Then when I tried to turn on the light it would not work. My marina mechanic could not get it to work either. Cheap Chinese crap!! Now I have to go through the hassle of trying to return it. That should be an adventure. Next purchase will be at a store.

Good light, made in USA.
A great light, the company has been around for many years, I have a boat that has 10 of these lights in it and one finally failed after 33 years. I would say that is a pretty good track record.
