Angle Grinder, 7-Inch, 15-Amp (G18ST)

metabo is a great brand that i have been selling to my customers for years. they hold up really well and the price was nice as well!

This is a good grinder. I grind metal for a living and put my grinders through a lot. This one doesn't get hot, keeps up with down pressure on a 7 inch flap disc, and the price seemed fair. I hate reviewing stuff that I have not had time to possibly wear out, but so far I feel like this one will give me my moneys worth.

What a beast! Plenty of power, exactly what I wanted for the project and at a price I was happy with, thanks Amazon! Used as a concrete grinder to level and smooth out the floor in our 1,600sf with concrete from the 90’s. There were cracks and a few uneven areas... but it was all no match this grinder, a 7” diamond concrete cup wheel, a couple days and a buddy helping (taking turns grinding). If you’re reading this review it means you’ve clicked on this grinder and are considering purchasing it... stop reading and just buy it, you won’t regret it, it’s awesome!

It works fine but I should have bought the higher RPM one because it grinds slow. My 10,000 RPM grinder cuts way faster. Barely able to get a cupped grinding wheel on it.

This product works well and was a great price.

It's a strong grinder but only good for small jobs. I worked it hard for an hour and it melted the plastic inside near the head. Cleaned that out after it cooled ran it for another hour and it locked up.

Powerful, quiet, and HEAVY. For what I need, a home handyman, a lesser one would have been better, this should last for years, is easy to handle, but, it is HEAVY. I used to buy only DeWalt, but since their acquisition by Black & Decker, their quality has deteriorated, but Mitabo seems to be of solid quality.

Two things. One is the cord is a 14 gauge SJ, which is neoprene, and that should be good news for people who work in cold weather. The other is that this stout thing is marked as used, came with a big discount, and doesn’t have any marks whatsoever on it. Absolutely perfect condition. Amazon Warehouse comes through yet again! The blade guard is deep enough that it took a dished abrasive oxide disc as well as a flat thick repointing wheel. Keep in mind that, with a seven inch blade, you will AT BEST get a one and a half inch deep cut. Fine for repointing but maybe a bit shallow for some masonry flashings. Be aware of that if you’re buying pre-made strips of flashing.

Not a bad grinder all in all been using it for polishing aluminum on my semi trucks. Other then it vibrates an is heavier then say dewalt or makita comparisons I think it holds up when it comes to torque certainly don’t slow down much when loaded up with a 9” airway buff

Very powerful. Nice to have the larger size to get into places that a regular grinder cannot reach. Very happy with it and consider it essential for metal work. Would definitely buy it again.

It seems a bit lighter than DeWalt and Makita. Same power for less money.
