Can this product be used as a shaving cream?

It is not designed for that purpose.

I bought at the end of July: deionized water, polyoxyethylene, sodium-carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin. My internal physical therapist recommended it, and it's the best lube I've ever used.

All I can say is that it's not a thick, heavy liquid. It is light and washes off easily with water. No known skin irritation. Works for us.
