Does exactly what it’s supposed too. Splits 1 rj45 data cable into 2. Will not work with Poe devices or hdmi extenders etc that require all 4 twisted pairs of wire in a single cable.

This product will take 2 ethernet cables combined them into 1 and then split them again later so you have to buy 2 extra cables savings you no money.Their built well and I assume they work since I'm now waiting for the extra cables to show up.

Item is very sturdy, and works well.

I expected a splitter to split the signal from one port into two ports. But it doesn't. The diagram that comes with the two splitters shows two cables from a router going into one splitter, connecting to the other splitter via a single cable and then two more cables coming out other side. This is the exactly the same result as my existing two cables conecting directly to two devices. I have bought two splitters to discover I need three extra cables to acheive what is already in place. I have exactly the same problem as I did before buying these spitters. Utterly pointless.

I got the wrong impression of what this item can do.

Worked very well so easy to use

This spitter uses miss-leading information in the description. The rate of transfer is 100mbps max and the description says it supports gigabit. I purchased a cheaper one before and I thought that this product might do what I need. Useless product!But do feel free to purchase it if you're happy with 100mbps as it accomplishes this with ease.
