Cool Performance That Delivers
Applying the “ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste” immediately showed why it’s so highly regarded in the PC repair world. The application was smooth, clean, and easy to control, making the entire process feel precise rather than messy. Once everything was back together, temperatures stabilized quickly, and the system ran noticeably cooler under load. That kind of reliable performance is exactly what you want when working with CPUs or GPUs. What impressed me most is how dependable and straightforward this product is—no gimmicks, just solid thermal transfer and long-lasting results. For anyone maintaining computers, gaming systems, or upgrading hardware, ARCTIC MX-4 proves itself as a trustworthy addition to the toolbox.

Game-Changing Thermal Paste That Truly Knocks Down the Heat—My PC Runs Cooler Than Ever!
As a tech enthusiast who's constantly tweaking and upgrading my gaming rig, I've slathered on my share of thermal pastes over the years—from the cheapo generics that turn into a crusty mess after a month to the overpriced "premium" ones that barely make a dent in temps. But the ARCTIC MX-4? Holy smokes, this stuff is a revelation. I slapped it on my overclocked Intel i7-13700K and RTX 3080 during a full rebuild, and it really knocks down the heat like nothing else I've tried. Idle temps dropped from 45°C to a frosty 32°C, and under heavy load—like grinding through Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with ray tracing maxed—I'm seeing peaks of just 72°C on the CPU instead of the old 92°C furnace. That's not just a minor improvement; it's transformed my PC from a space heater into a whisper-quiet workhorse that lets me push components harder without the fear of thermal throttling or premature wear. What I appreciate most about the MX-4 is how straightforward and foolproof it is to apply, especially for someone like me who doesn't want to spend an afternoon scraping off old paste. The 4-gram tube comes with a handy spatula for even spreading—no mess, no fuss—and the viscosity is spot-on: thick enough to stay put during assembly but smooth enough to work into a thin, uniform layer without air pockets. It's 100% non-conductive and metal-free, so even if I get a smidge on the socket pins (hey, it happens), there's zero risk of shorting out my $2,000 build. Plus, ARCTIC backs it with an eight-year durability claim, and after six months of daily abuse—gaming marathons, video rendering, and even some light crypto mining—temps are still holding steady, with no drying, cracking, or migration issues. Compared to the Noctua NT-H1 I used before, this edges it out on pure thermal performance (around 2-3°C cooler on average in my benchmarks), and at this price, it's an absolute steal for the value.Application-wise, I followed the classic "pea-sized dot" method for the CPU and a thin spread for the GPU die, letting the mounting pressure do the work. Paired with a decent Noctua cooler, it's like the paste is engineered to bridge every microscopic gap, wicking away heat with its ultra-high conductivity (8.5 W/mK, if you're into the specs). The result? Not only lower temps, but quieter fans—my Noctua NF-A12x25s are spinning at half speed now, cutting noise by 20 dB and electricity draw to boot. It's eco-friendly too, free from nasty solvents or fillers, and the tube design minimizes waste (I still have half left for future swaps). If you're building, upgrading, or just troubleshooting high temps on an aging system, don't sleep on the ARCTIC MX-4. It's not hype—it's proven performance that really knocks down the heat and keeps your rig running cool, efficient, and reliable for the long haul. I've already stocked up on extras for friends' builds, and it'll be my go-to from here on out. Five stars aren't enough; this deserves a spot in every PC builder's toolkit!

Good for a few builds
This tube will supply enough thermal paste for 3-5 CPUs. It performs better than any stock thermal paste used by manufacturers and is great to keep on hand. Non conductive, easy to apply. I think it hits a sweet spot of price to performance.

Inexpensive for the quantity and for how well it works. I use nothing else...
I have rebuilt and upgraded numerous computers over my lifetime. Since the Arctic product came out, I've used nothing else as a medium for heatsinking to IC's. That little syringe goes a looooong way, and the product conducts heat beautifly.

Works as well as I would expect
Transfers enough heat to my cooler for it to run for long periods. Has a good amount of paste inside so you won't need to keep buying them if you change your paste occasionally.

Blew my mind since I've started using it
I’ve used this on everything: own laptops, own PCs, friends and family's machines, and even on people that are coming to me to repair their machines. It never misses. Nobody complained, no returns due to heating issues. Why 5-Star? First, foolproof application. The consistency is perfect not too runny, not too thick. It spreads evenly without making a mess, which is a lifesaver for beginners and pros alike. However, please pay attention at how to handle it - or maybe watch some videos online before applying, if you don't have experience. Applied in excess is also not good :) Then, it's the peace of mind. This is carbon-based and non-conductive, so you don't have to sweat if a tiny bit escapes onto the motherboard. Unlike liquid metal or silver-based pastes, there is zero risk of short-circuiting your expensive hardware. Remember, read carefully before trusting people on internet. Longevity. Well, ARCTIC claims it lasts for 8 years, and they aren't kidding. I’ve opened up builds from five years ago and the paste was still tacky and performing well, rather than turning into a useless dry crust. Results as you go, how I like to call it. On my last GPU repaste, I saw a drop of 12°C under load. It’s the cheapest way to extend the life of your hardware and keep your fans from screaming. Pros: Excellent thermal conductivity. No "burn-in" time required (reaches peak performance immediately). 4g is plenty (some people say for at least 5–10 applications, my experience says that depends on the builds :) ) Very affordable. Final thoughts. Don't overthink it. Unless you are doing extreme sub-zero overclocking, this is all the thermal paste you will ever need. It’s reliable, safe, and performs brilliantly across PC and console hardware. Highly recommended!
