PHI VILLA Outdoor Roller Shade 8' (W) x 8' (H), Patio Shades Roll Up, Wheat

This is a 2nd purchase - liked the first one a lot. This gives us shade on 2 sides of our pergola. It is easy to install and worked smoothly. Not sure of durability since they are only a couple of months old, but seems well built and goes up/down smoothly and stats at height you set. Stays rolled up also.

Very easy to install and blocks the evening sun from heating up our back porch.

The reason I purchased these blinds is because I have a nice view from my deck, but I also have neighbors whose dogs bark if they see me in my own yard. So I needed a little dose of privacy that I could roll up and roll down depending on when their dogs are out. I roll them up when I want to enjoy the view and I roll them down when I need the privacy. I bought the dark coco color. They're beautiful when they are in use. These blinds are just blocking enough to give me the privacy I need, but I can still see through the mesh enough so as to not feel like I've built a wall to hide behind. Installation was very very easy. Everything was in the box, including screws. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is because one of the two blinds came with some damage to the hardware. It was not damage that would cause problems to form-fit-or-function, nor is it visible once the blinds were installed. Some of the hardware looked as if a previous customer removed the tags, maybe tried to install it, broke the plastic covers, packaged it all up and sent it back, and then I became the next customer to use the same blind. I did not call the seller. The damage was not enough to cause any problems, it just sort of seems like they should have sent me new hardware since I'd paid for new. All in all I'm extremely happy with the blinds and the ease of installation. They've only been up for one full day so far, so in a few months I'll update this review to share how well they hold up over time.

The screen is good material but I don’t like how it anchors at the bottom. This is the only knock I’d give this product. It has an end cap that does not secure adequately and when there is wind, the cap falls of, the anchor ring slides off (because the end cap hold it in) and then both pieces can get lost. The end cap needs to have a positive way to secure it to the end cap rod.

We ordered 5 of these. Two the 8’ length and 3 the 6’ length. We were a bit skeptical about the quality due to the price. So far- no regrets. They arrived in these heavy duty tubes and the installation was very easy. We had a hard time using our patio as the sun was coming down due to the heat and direct sun shining in our eyes. These appear to be exactly what we are looking for. When not needed you can’t even tell they are there as the blend into the beige roof of our patio. One will also allow us to use our breakfast area inside without having to put down our cellular indoor shades.

This Phi Villa roller shade has not been a trusted, fully functional item. The shade looks and feels very cheaply made. The rolling mechanism is really bad together with the cheap plastic parts that broke. I put them up less than 3 months ago and one of the shades has not worked, and the rolling mechanism has broken, I am waiting for the other one to break. I paid $150.00 for both and they are not worth it. Before these I had 2 American made roller shades I bought at HD that lasted 9 years in this Phoenix, Arizona super hot over 110 degrees summer weather, they never fell and the mechanism never broke. I don’t recommend these replacement shades I bought in Amazon, they are not even worth $5.00.

I ordered this one thinking it was the same as the ones I already had! This is a pull chain and I wanted the crank style and white fixtures where my others are black! My bad!

Dislike the bottom anchoring device. If the wind blows the hooking device pops the end cap off. Had to improvise with screws to keep them from sliding off. Wanted to add to this review. This company stands behind their product and the customer service is awesome. They replaced Plastic parts don't do well. 1 year guarantee. Like the sun screen. Blocks enough of sun to make patio comfortable.
