will this work off a 10mm microbore radiator pipe as I am looking to replace an existing radiator

Yes it will work on 10mm pipe, just ensure it has a good flow of hot water to it

how do you control a plinth heater

The plinth heater has two control switches on the front of the heater.The top switch has 2 settings either Summer (where it just acts as a fan) and Winter where it blows out warm air.The bottom switch has 3 settings Top position on the switch is Low, Middle position on the switch is Off and the Bottom position is High.The heating function of the plinth heater will only operate when the central heating system reaches a certain temperature so if the central heating is switched off then so is the plinth heater.

Would these heaters work with a hot water on demand heater?

Louise, these heaters are piped into the central heating system and are basically a small electric fan assisted water radiator, they are normally used where there is no space to put a normal wall mounted radiator like in a kitchen where you have kitchen units all around the walls and it's not possible to fit a conventional radiator so you would fit this in the kitchen unit plinth. If you have a central heating boiler be it a standard one with a hot water cylinder or the more modern combie boiler where the hot water is heated directly when the hot tap is turned on and your radiators are also powered from the same boiler then you can fit this kitchen heater. If your boiler/on demand heater does not power your central heating radiators and only heats your hot water then you cannot. The ones I have fitted have been replacements for kitchen radiators and are very effective even if the fan is switched off. Sorry if this has dragged on but hope it answers your question?

Hi The heater your looking at requires an electrical connection for the fan in unit the heat is supplied via your central heating system flow and return the fan then pushes air into room hope this helps
