Awesome Detector!!
This detector is a great machine!! It has super depth and very easy to use. I have gone to areas, where I have hunted before with my old detector, and now find more treasure with the T2. I highly recommend it!!

Trash on Trashy Grounds - an absolute gem everywhere else...
It has strong points and weak points. The chatter is sometimes very annoying...but IMHO that is dependent on the sensitivity settings and modes of the user. However, the deeper you want to get, the higher the sensitivity you need. I have owned the T2SE for about a year and have found some excellent coins and relics. It's a great detector in my opinion for non-trashy grounds and not parks full of garbage. It's just so sensitive (aka. "HOT") that it will ring up just about everything under the ground. You can try and discriminate the lower readings out, but, I have found it can knock-out deeper targets in the process. For example: I was on an old home site and was finding decent things with a higher discrimination of 50. I lower it to 10 like a few friends recommended and found a 1889S Seated dime. This IMHO is a great detector and I'll continue to use it on clean grounds. Trust me I have found valuable LC's, big silvers, and even a 1600's copper. This detector can hit some serious targets. An online pal even hit the Holy Grail, a Pine Tree Shilling with a T2. But it's a chatterbox and can possibly make you crazy at times in polluted ground. I have logged HUNDREDS of hours with this machine and it'll still drive me nuts in trashy areas because it is just wicked sensitive. My major sticking points before moving on are: 1. Becomes over-sensitive and scattered on the VDI in high humidity, mist, and drizzle. It is NOT water resistant. 2. It has no backlight, and to me that's everything. I have a small time frame to hunt and it's often around dusk. LCD just sucks in low light conditions and there's no getting around this big downside. Lastly, this machine has found me $1000's of coins, relics, and jewelry and now I'm buying a Minelab CTX-3030 with the proceeds. The CTX will blow the socks off most machines, but this hobby is addictive and can bring in some cash if you're good at it, so it's almost an investment to me. I'll always use my T2 and I'll rescan the grounds around big-find sites indefinately because it's a machine I can trust.
