Great Steel! It will last for many years. Perfect to for keeping good quality blades once they are properly sharpened. Not for sharpenning at all, honning only.

Helps to keep my knives sharp. This product has to be used only with knives that are still fairly sharp. When the knife is dull, have to use a different grade let alone or sharpen the blade.

These steels are the best way to put a good on your knives and cutlery. I currently own the fine steel and the polishing steel. I usually start with diamond sharpening stones, but once I get a good edge the steels suffice. I just bought new ones to replace the ones I have had for 9 years. I can see the difference between the new and old, but 9 years is a long time, and the new ones appear to be of the same quality as the originals. II do a lot of whittling, and also love to cook, using me j.a. Henkel knives. I would highly recommend them to anyone who takes pride in a sharp edge.
