While I love the shape and design of this. There was a hairline crack in mine by the tap, which caused constant leaking. I needed to do a little home DIY to fix it with some water proof glue, which also means I can't take the tap out to fix it now! 3 Stars cause I'm nice but ultimately needed to mend it out of box to do it's job.

I agree with all of the reviews regarding the leaking issue. The problem is there is only one washer on the dispenser assembly. I went to the local hardware store and got a rubber washer for a traditional garden hose for $.69 and fixed the problem. It now works perfectly. (Manufacturer please spend the extra nickel and include both washers from the factory).

I loved the idea of this, but it was really badly made. For the record, this is for the 1.6-gallon cold brew iced coffee maker; I saw some reviews talking about coffee presses, weirdly enough.I hadn’t been planning on using the strainer core, but I think it’s important to mention that the mesh doesn’t seem fine enough to keep silt out of your cold brew from the brewing process. I normally don’t like that format of brewer, since it doesn’t let the grounds have enough contact with the water, so I use a cotton bag, which works well enough. Thing is, the filter core is WAY too small for the amount of water this thing holds. I’ve used cold brew makers with bigger brewer baskets that hold less liquid, and even those resulted in coffee that was too watery. You’d need probably 3 of the filters this thing comes with to make coffee that’s appropriately strong, and I don’t even like my coffee that powerful.It’s hard to find drink dispensers with appropriately-places spouts. They’re usually a good inch or two from the bottom of the container, making it impossible to get anything out of it toward the end without tilting it or pouring stuff out. My ideal brewer is the KitchenAid one (the spout is so low!), but it’s expensive, and even the larger one is only 38 ounces. We go through a gallon of cold brew concentrate every week, maybe week and a half, so that wouldn’t be doable.Unfortunately, the first unit they shipped to me had cracks all around where the spout slots in, causing liquid to leak through. They sent me a replacement unit, but before I even opened it I could see it had the same issue. When a $3 plastic pitcher is sturdier than this product, that’s pretty bad. Guess I’ll just buy a nicer pitcher.

Came to me cracked and leaked all over my refrigerator

I loved the idea of this product. After I got it, I hand washed it, filled it with water and filled the compartment with coffee. Left it in the fridge over night to steep. When I opened the fridge the following morning, there was water all over my fridge and the container was about 1/2 full. Would not recommend.

I do not like the way the coffee settles more towards the bottom. It did not come with instructions so I might not have used it the way it was intended. I bought it for my husband. He loves the first one I got for him. But it doesn't hold enough cold coffee for the both of us. He won't use this one because it took almost three days for the coffee to get strong enough for my husbands liking.

The thickness of the plastic is ok, but unfortunately the seal around the spout leaks and made a mess of my fridge

THIS ITEM WILL MELT IN THE DISHWASHER. IF I KNEW THAT, I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED IT.
