Made my hair dry and frizzy
My hair is thick, curly and dry. It's mostly type 3A with some 3B and a bit of 2C.The ingredients in this, along with it being "natural" tempted me into buying it. Us curly girls do like to try new products. Especially as it said a "curly hair formulation".As soon as I put this on my hair, I could feel how bad it was for my hair type. Straight away, I could feel it stripping every bit of oil I had away. Nevertheless, I thought I'd continue. After rinsing, my hair was like straw. Yes, it felt "clean", but all the natural oils had been washed away. I had to put half a pot of intensive conditioner in (for curly hair) and leave it in for 30 mins before rinsing. It still felt dry. I then put in a curly hair leave-in conditioner and some argon oil, as well as serum. It felt okay-ish, but still dry.The next day, my hair was very frizzy. I had to wash it in conditioner only and again, put leave-in conditioner in as well as oil. This was a week ago, and my hair is still recovering. I've had to use the rest of the pot of curly hair intensive conditioner, and I'm back on my old regime. Fair enough, I always put oil in, and always put conditioner in and leave-in, but this was terrible.I understand that you are supposed to use this for a month before it adjusts, but I can't see *how* my hair would adjust to becoming drier and drier and drier. IF it made it greasy, I could understand this, but how does hair adjust to products that make it drier? There is no way I am persisting with something that made me a frizz-ball, it would only get worse. If you have greasy hair (which I never have had), I reckon this would be okay. But to advertise something for curly hair? Nope. Also, it's not as if it's cheap! I would return it if able.
