Love these light weight bowls. Easier than heavier glass/ceramic bowls for my 87 year old mom to use.

It took a second shipment of these bowls as the first shipment came in with three of the bowls broken. So either someone doesn't know how to pack for shipping, or, these bowls may break easily. To me, the bowls are on the smallish side per volume, but taller (not as wide) than other bowls that I have had, so they do stack in the cabinet a little less efficiently.Outside that, they are bowls, some sort of hard plastic, and thus far do the job. I haven't had them for long so I can't speak to long term durability or repeated washing issues.

I had a couple of uglyish melamine rice bowls in the house, and they were what we kept reaching for. Lightweight, nice size, nice shape. Finally I decided to buy a set of 6 in plain white so they'd be attractive and we'd have enough. These are attractive, light, great to have around. We hand-wash our dishes, and these wash very easily and nicely. You never worry about breakage, which is always good with bowls, the first thing in any set of dishes to develop chips.A couple of caveats. They should warn people that you can't put them in the microwave. That's not a big deal, and it's a function of melamine, not a comment on the quality of the bowls, but important to know.and really, they could have been made to stack far more nicely than they do. I can barely get the six stacked on my bottom shelf, and they tip this way and that way, and the whole stack has to be tipped to the side to get one out because there's not enough room at the top. They don't stack anything like the way the photo shows.I saw some people complained that they seem to be worn down by dishwashing. I could see where that could happen. I also imagine they would take up a lot of space in a dishwasher. As I said, we wash by hand, so it's not an issue.

These bowls stack better than the glass ones that I have. The only downside is that they can’t be used in the microwave. I didn’t realize that before purchasing. Although they hold just as much as my glass ones, they seem smaller, so having to was them only on the top rack of the dishwasher isn’t too inconvenient. Would buy again!

I love this bowls I will be buying them again. They are easy to use they are Dishwasher safe. I use them for almost everything. I have dropped them several times and they haven't chipped. my nephew threw one across the room and it just broke in 2 pieces easy clean up as well. None of them have stained. at all !

First, there *is* a sticker on the bottom of each bowl. Based on some other reviews they must have recently changed it. Because ours reads:DISHWASHER SAFE IN TOP RACK ONLY.TOP RACK ONLY??? That is NOT "dishwasher safe." (Maybe these people think you can be a little bit pregnant?) The first time a friend loads the bowls in the bottom... what are we going to have... white, stinky goo everywhere?Then it says: NOT SAFE IN MICROWAVE.OK, the listing says NOTHING about MW. But what isn't MW safe these days? More white, stinky goo coming?These things are light, cheap but not inexpensive... when you consider spending $3 for what is basically a disposable bowl.Shame on Amazon for selling crap like this. You have been warned.

says microwaveable,,, anything over 3 minutes and the bowls start to chip and spit pieces all over in the microwave so when you shut down the microwave give it a few seconds to stop shooting pieces or they will keep shooting in your face. i find these very dangerous! but they do make great ice cream and cereal bowls
