As a Michelin starred chef, I must say this is my ABSOLUTE favorite rice to keep at home. The aroma is like no other. One you try this Basmati, it's hard to choose another. I love a good jasmine rice, but this is just next level flavor. Hint.....add a tablespoon of coconut oil to the water when cooking. Thank my later! :)

I became interested in Indian cuisine a year or so ago and did most of my shopping at a local family-owned (LOVELY family!) specialty store. With Covid-19 (I'm very high risk), I'm doing whatever I need to do to stay safe, so I've been acquiring food differently than I ever imagined. I really like "real" basmati rice and was out, so I tried Amazon. Yes, it's more expensive than the local store, but services cost money. Getting stuff delivered from the supermarket costs more too. It's just how it is. Hopefully, none of us will have to live through another pandemic in our lifetimes! ANYway...I tried this rice and was blown away by the fragrance when I opened the bag- it was WONDERFUL! It cooks up well, too (I don't soak it, but I do rinse it until the water runs clear). And if I wasn't a complete klutz and always dropping things, I wouldn't be buying it again quite so soon!
