Will the 1.5 inch sleeve fit over a 1.5 inch radiator hose, or will it be too snug?

if the radiator hose is truly a 1.5" o.d and straight then yes it will fit, but if the hose expands as rubber does, then it will be greater than 1.5" and it may split the sleeve, If it is a curved hose then it will be greater than 1.5" o.d. in portions and the sleeve will not fit. You would not want to put this on a radiator hose as it would trap heat and not allow the radiator hose to radiate and dissipate heat properly. If the hose is not carrying hot water but merely used as a drain hose, then this is fine. This it meant to protect from radiant heat but also retains heat internally which could cause your rubber hose to fail prematurely and due to being obscured by the wrap you could not inspect the hose for sponginess, cracking or impending failure. Basically, not a good idea for that purpose.
