Outlets and USB Ports End Table

When wifey told me that she wanted to order this thing I was very skeptical. I often make pieces of furniture and I wanted to make this out of real maple wood. When I saw the features of this end table I figured out how much it would cost me to make it and the cost would have been close to the same. I checked the reviews and they were OK. but an end table that was made in China gave me pause. So I figured that we could send it back if it is a piece of junk. Three days after we ordered it the US Postal Service delivered it. I was a bit surprised as to how fast it came. I pulled it out of the box and was very happy that there was no assembly required and there were no damage or scratches. The reviews were unclear on if it needed assembly. I checked this table quite well and it is a solid pierce of furniture. It's not all solid wood but the important parts are! I was very pleased with the quality of this thing. It is well built and it looks great. The hidden electrical center is a huge plus. A few days later we are at a local high-end furniture store looking for new chairs and we came across this identical end table. it was advertised as solid wood and had a price tag of $70 more that what we paid on Amazon. Another store had it for $169 more! We are very happy with this end table.

This is a nice, well-built table, and easy to assemble. I paid $36.43 for it 10 months ago and have been contemplating buying another one. Wish I had bought two while they were at that price. Now the price is $107.63 and it's probably worth that.

The plugs were one of the features I wanted on this table, but unless you don't care that the flap covering it is up all the time, they're sort of useless. There's a "cut out" to allow the cord to extend when it's closed, but you can't close the flap anyway. My suggestion to the designers would be to lower the plugs so the flap will close. Otherwise, the table is perfect for the space, and the materials are great! The only assembly was to install the shelf, and once the tabs were locaated taped to the bottom of the box, I have a beautiful piece of furniture beside my recliner.

Very sturdy real wood table! Excellent feature with the charging area in back on the top, that can be exposed or hidden with the wood compartment that can cover it. Slide out cup and remote holder is awesome. Magazine rack in back to hide unsightly reading materials from coffee table. The cabinet is spacious enough to hold my briefcase, laptop, etc for my telework job. Putting it away out of sight each night works for “out of sight, out of mind” needed situations. My only complaint is the pegs to put the shelf on the inside cabinet were not included in the box. Just a packing error. This is a great super sturdy table for the price and the perfect fit for my small space. I was ok with that though because it came 99% assembled! Just take out or box and place!!!

This is a great little side table. I couldn’t believe it came already put together. The only thing I had to do was insert the shelf, which was super easy. The color is representative as in the picture. The tray slides out and is a great little bonus. The only thing I would add to that is some sort of non-skid liner/coaster of some sort. There is a place for a remote. However, you cannot close the tray with a remote unless the remote is very thin. I choose to keep a couple pens there. The bottom has plenty of storage. I do like the flip up end with the power strip. It has two USB ports and three outlets. I use the USB ports for my iPhone and my iPad. The outlets are great for a little lamp. It really is a nice little table. I’ve been contemplating purchasing another.

The product comes mostly put together, except for the optional shelf, which requires you to press in 4 pegs at the desired level and place the shelf atop them. It’s not hard to do, but make sure all 4 are on the same level (there are pre-drilled small holes on both sides). The item feels very sturdy. However, the top drawer you see on the front is nearly useless. There is a reason you only see pics of the drawer showing the “cup holders”. There is a small indent behind them that presumably can be used to hold a remote. In the included video, I tried closing my smallest remote inside. However there is almost no clearance between that area and the top of the unit, so forget keeping anything in there except maybe a thin pen or pencil. Also who encourages people to use bare wood as a place to put a hot or cold drink? If you do plan on using it, plan to leave the drawer open all of the time. If they had put in a regular drawer, there wouldn’t have been a ton of room, but you would have been able to put something in it. Instead, they mount a piece of wood on top of shallow rollers. They did this to leave room for the surge protector I’m sure, but it wasn’t a smart choice. The unit has a power cable coming out the back so you can plug it into the wall and use the built-in 3-port “surge protector” (a misnomer in this case because the unit doesn’t even seem to have a fuse) or one of the two 5 watt, 2.1 milliamperes USB A ports. All of this is covered over by a wooden door that you reach into and pull up on to expose the power. Then you can route cables through the hole in the top. Also, there is some space on the back of this unit to serve as a very out-of-the-way magazine rack. I wish that had been left out to devote more space to the shelving. My unit came with a very deep scratch in it and the email address they provide for “support” is a joke. Never did get an answer from them. It does what I need and it does look good, even if it’s not as useful as it could be.
