Walnut Cookie Mold (Oreshek) Maker 9 Halves Nuts Big Oreshki Russian Soviet Cookies Pastry

This was my first time making Oreshki, but it won't be my last. I learned a few things that I'll share. Follow the directions on the amount of dough to put in. I didn't think it sounded like enough and put bigger balls of dough in the first time and it ran out all over the stovetop smoking up the whole house. I followed the directions for the second batch and they were perfect. I attached a velcro strap like you would use to secure computer cables and it worked great to hold it together so that I could do other things while they were baking. I used a medium setting on my glass top range and set Alexa for three minutes on the first side, then told Alexa to add one minute for the second side and they were perfect golden brown. I expected them to stick, but they popped right out. Once I had the rhythm down, they went very quickly. I filled them with Dulce de Leche and they were delicious! I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. They made a really elegant addition to my Christmas gift baskets.

This was the first year making these cookies. They turned out perfectly. I cooked them on my electric stove without any issues. They browned to a beautiful golden brown. The walnut size was the exact size of a walnut. The only downside for me was the amount of shells that you can do at a time. But that's because we wanted the bigger shells. I would highly recommend this one if your interested in making these wonderful delicious cookies.

Not suitable for flat glass ceramic hobs. It is impossible to heat the other side, so the nuts turn out white inside

Good weight works pretty good

Good quality, very simple baking tool. I’d say fool proof. Easy to follow instructions and recipe included. Makes decent size shells.
