Woo hoo this stuff is the real deal, excellent taste and heat, mixed up my first batch with equal parts water and white vinegar, put a little tumerac in also , totally delicious and hot! works real well on eggrolls and Chinese fried noodles with duck sauce, you will not be disappointed

It's been a long time since I have found a good quality hot Asian mustard. You can mix as much or as little as you want, canister seal keeps the powder fresh and intact. It's pungent and spicy, exactly as you want a good hot mustard to be. I think this was a good value! I will definitely buy it again.

S&B Oriental hot mustard is great. It’s hot and I like hot. Love dipping my tempura shrimp & Bbq pork in it. Even helps clear the sinuses. Bring on the heat!

If you like hot mustard as we do, this is a perfect option. I purchased in Chicago's Chinatown many, many years ago but being the gypsy I am, in some states there were no options. I was delighted again, many years ago, to find it on Amazon and although it's doubled in cost since my first purchase, it is still far and away the best oriental mustard and - because it's in powder form - can be added to any recipe that calls for spiced mustard. One suggestion, make sure you make it a little in advance if you intend to use it for take-out Chinese food (they always give you soy but rarely mustard) so it has a chance to thicken a bit but it is hot which you temper with water ... enjoy!

A little backstory, I don't go out often but when I do it's usually for take out Chinese food! I have a really good restaurant nearby and the food is delicious and so is there Hot Mustard. I think I'm actually more addicted to the Hot Mustard as I like to coat my food in it. The flavor combination is just perfection. When I dine in I'm friends with the owner and they will personally come out and bring me a full bottle of Hot Mustard they know how much I like it. I recently had some delivery and asked for 10 Hot Mustards and they were filled maybe 10% of the way in a 1oz cup and it was very watery. I was so confused, it wasn't even enough to fully coat my food the way I wanted to. The next biggest problem was I found out they charged me $1 a cup. They started charging for something that has always been free, and at such a high price too. I paid $10 for maybe 2ozs of Hot Mustard. I said never again and made it my goal to get my own hot mustard. I bought several pre-mixed hot mustards on the store shelves and the flavor just wasn't there. A family Member told me to try Dry Mustard so I bought a generic brand and that was also not right. After some digging I found this product, and I thought to myself this has to be right, and I was looking forward to it arriving! As soon as it arrived I opened the package, the item, and then grabbed a teaspoon of powder, and I just poured in a little water. I didn't measure though the recipe is on the can if you want it. I was just experimenting trying to get the right consistency. After blending it up and adding a little more water I set it in the fridge for 10 minutes to set up. Afterwards I took it out of the fridge and gave it a taste test. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for, the same flavor my favorite restaurant uses. I took an empty cup and the 1 teaspoon I used filled up the cup halfway. I could probably fill hundreds of those cups now with this one jar. I will be a repeat buyer of this forever!

I have tried all different brands of Oriental Hot Mustard and hot mustard powder. They were all terrible and totally unlike the great mustard you usually get in a Chinese restaurant. This Hot Mustard Powder is a game changer. It is fantastic and just like the "real thing." I highly recommend this. Simply add a teaspoon of powder and a teaspoon of water, mix it up with a fork and it is good to go. It can be refrigerated if you want it a little thicker. If you like hot mustard, buy this one!!
