Triton 80 Grit Hook and Loop Mesh Sanding Disc 125 mm 10pk

I was relieved, but not wholly surprised, to read that others had experienced these discs *flying* off - not ‘slipping’ or ‘peeling’ - but actually flying!In fact, it happens so quickly and immediately that, unless you’re lucky enough for the offending item to land directly in front of you, you don’t even know it’s happened. You’re then left wondering why it’s taking so long to have any effect upon whatever’s being worked on.If I was the manufacturer of these I would be mortifyingly embarrassed, and offering purchasers their money back before they had a chance to bad-mouth the product.Sadly, I’m not. Sorry, purchasers.Don’t bother with these.

I have to agree with the other reviews about the hook-and-loop attachment of these discs. Their sanding ability seems fine but they just won't stay attached to the sanding plate for a decent amount of time. In the end it took 6 discs to do what 1 of a better quality I've used would. I've saved the the 'failed' discs as they're still useful for hand sanding as the abrasive surface it still viable but would not buy this brand again.

Disappointed in this Triton product. I have a few from this brand and it’s a medium good value brand in my opinion. This one not so. After 5 mins the hook on the back of the disk fail. I tried with the finer grit ones and it was the same. I then tried the more expensive Trend mesh disks and they worked very very well. The orbital sander was a brand new Makita so couldn’t have been the backing pad .

I had been used to using ordinary holed sanding discs with my random orbital sander. These do a super job and it is easy to take the dust away though them. They do not gather the dust like the old style discs do. Very happy with them and will order more here for sure. They arrived in super quick time too

I bought these to use with my Ryobi random orbital sander and they work as expected. Good value for money and little or no dust when hooked up to my vacuum cleaner.Not sure where the iffy reports are coming from my work great.

Used on my Bosch orbital, tried changing speed to slow and adjusting presuure but many just flew off after a few minutes. Would return but need to get job done. Very disappointing product

Brilliant strong discs , just what we needed

If I use these direct on to my Bosch random orbit sander they wont stick at all, totally unusable. However, if I attach them to the soft interface pad I have, they stick fine. Looking at other reviews there seems to be some compatibility issues with certain sander hook and loop systems, Bosch in particular.
