HADES Icon Steampunk Oxford Shoe - Black

I attend steampunk events and conventions, and these shoes are perfect for my borderline-square feet and how rarely I wear anything with a heel. The look is almost too steampunk, but skirts the line of cliché enough for my purposes and the copper heel is pretty much the win. They are far more comfortable than I expected, and I was able to wear them for a whole day almost immediately with little to no break-in. I'm planning to buy a pair in brown, and have been eyeing some of the other styles that Hades makes -- for what could be considered a "novelty" shoe, these are surprisingly well-made and worth the price.

Way cute with skirt or jeans. Thin stockings, not thick socks for correct fit.

I am a size 9M...I took a chance and ordered size 9, and the shoes are definitely 1/2 size too small; my toes were cramped, and I couldn't fathom walking around in cramped shoes. If you're a size 8 1/2 M, these shoes would probably fit perfectly!So I returned them and ordered a size 10. They are a little big, but I'm going to get insoles to alleviate that. My feet are MUCH happier with the bigger size!The butterflies are a little loose, so I will glue them with jewelry glue (or super glue) to stabilize them. The heel height is perfect: not too high for me but just enough to look great.I'm not happy that I had to pay for return shipping, but I really wanted these so I decided to go for it. Overall, I love these shoes and for ME, they were worth the little extra hassle.

I ordered the black shoe, and it is gorgeous! I've always loved Victorian style clothing/shoes, and these add a Steampunk element. I wear 8.5-9, and the 9 fit well, though they are probably not suited to someone with a very wide toe spread. The heel is about the maximum I can wear, given my knee and back problems, but it's wide enough that I don't feel any instability.Delivery was fast, and the shoes were well-packed.I can't wait to wear them out, and am considering ordering the other colors, as finances allow. If this is anything like an aesthetic that appeals to you, I highly recommend them.

These are super cute and I have gotten many compliments on them. Be aware though that they do run small and you may want to size up. I was lucky enough to have the seller call and advise me of this before shipping so I would get the right ones.

Fits as expected to a point. Toes are a little tight. On the left shoe in particular, the shoe comes up so far it hits my ankle bone. Left a large blister. Trying to break in by wearing with two band-aids. Either my foot or the shoe will have to give because these are too cute not to wear.

The shoes are a touch on the snug side, I hope they will stretch a but with wear. Otherwise I found them pretty comfortable. They are a perfect addition to my costume.
