Great Headset!
I purchased the Savi 8200 series (specifically the 8220, Mocrosoft P/N: 207326-01) for my home office. I am in Technical Support and on the phone between 7 and 10 hours a day constant. At my previous employer, I had the Savi 720 series and was quite happy with everything. WIth the new employer, same responsibilities and same phone time. The Savi 8220 offered stereo speakers on the headset as opposed to the 720 series of binaural speakers. Connection to the computer and cell phone was easy/quick. I downloaded the Plantronics Hub so I could maximize all the features that Plantronics offers. Once everyting was setup, time to start taking calls. I had modified several settings to my personal preference, however I found it frustrating that when I'd answer a call by pressing the talk button on my headset, the call would be answered and then disconnected. I had to use a combination of of buttons on the Base Station and cell phone bluetooth connection to change the audio to the headset. When I changed the settings in Plantronics Hub, it didn't appear to make a change and still frustrating. After a week, I finally broke down and called Plantronics Customer Service and talked to Jay. He was very knowledgable and helpful. He walked me through changing a few settings and wanted to test the settings that were changed by calling me back (that's a nice thought) to ensure everything was working ok. The Base Station light for Computer connection was flashing red after I hung up. Thinking that something was still not correct, I unplugged the power cord and the micro USB cable for a few seconds with the headset sitting on the base. When I plugged the power cable and micro USB connection cable back in, everything appeared to be "normal". Jay called back literally 10 seconds later. I was very hesitant to press the talk button on my headset because everytime previously it would answer the call and immediately hang up on the caller. I pressed the button on the headset and like magic the call was answered and everything was working perfectly as it should. The headset has great audio quality (almost too good) and I am able to hear my technicians and customers without any issue. The radio connection range is between the headset and the base is crazy... I am able to walk through any room in my house and all around my property outside and not lose connectivity or quality. The ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) works really well. The head band quality is far superior over the older Savi 700 series and 720 series. It's comfortable and adjusts well. I move around a lot and the headset doesn't appear to shift and fall off either. Battery life is really good. After 9 hours still have over 50% - 75% battery life remaining. I would highly recommend this headset to anyone who is on the phone all day and is required to use their hands for other tasks besides holding a telephone handset. Combined with excellent Customer Service this is one of the best multi-funcitonal headsets I have used and I have been doing this for almost 20 years. Great Job Plantronics!!

Terrible Audio And Short Battery Life
The product does not work as advertised. Audio is the worst I have experienced with a Bluetooth headset. Each day it starts up showing it is around 75% charged. The primary function of this device is to allow for high quality calls using Bluetooth, USB and or a direct (tethered) connection with a physical phone. It supports all three simultaneously. As a Bluetooth compatible device, this is by far the worst I have ever owned. Attempts to find relevant support using Poly's FAQ were not successful. Attempts to find a phone number advertised through the Poly website show no published phone number. The site now has a redirect banner for HP (they recently acquired the company in 2022). Attempts to call HP and obtain support were not successful. HP acknowledged the acquisition through their Tech. Support hotline. They also acknowledged that they do not yet support the product. I registered the device through Poly and then opened a case for support asking them for help. They offered one initial option. Update the device via the Poly Lens app. That had already been completed and acknowledge in the initial case opened with them that they ignored. They provided a phone number that was called several times over several days that they also ignored. I stayed on hold for fifty plus minutes in one instance never speaking with a human. Testing process: Initiate a call over a smartphone and send the call to voicemail. Test the same audio script over several means in sequence. Use the phone built-in mic. Use the phone built-in speakerphone. Use a tethered connection to the phone, e.g. mini-din, RCA and or lightening connection for that headset mic/speaker. Use the Poly headset in a wireless > Bluetooth > DECT connection. Results of testing Highest audio quality and playback - Wired headset Moderate-high audio quality - Bluetooth headset (just not the Poly device) Moderate-low audio quality - Phone only for mic/speaker (no headsets) Lowest audio quality - Poly Bluetooth > DECT headset

Worth it!!
I work from home now and I am typically on the phone 8 hours a day. I was looking at less expensive options but wanted to upgrade my work experience so I got the Savi 8220. This headset has been great!! It took me 5 minutes to setup, I have it paired with my work Cisco phone via cable and my cell phone via Bluetooth and can transition seamlessly between the two. Call quality has been excellent, no complaints. Battery life has been solid, I use it all day and the headset does not need a charge even though I charge it daily. Noise canceling is great, I sometimes have a noisy household and the noise canceling does the trick. My house is 1400 sq feet and I can roam from one end to the other with perfect reception. Very comfortable headset and feels like good quality. I don't know what people are talking about having issues with the headset falling off, this thing fits my dome snug. I have zero complaints, I am totally happy with my purchase and would recommend! I previously used the Plantronics 720 and the Savi 8220 crushes like a roided up Barry Bonds in every facet.

Business Class Headset that Works
TLDR: Overall, I recommend these for people who work from home and want the quality of a real, capable business grade headset. Note: I plan on revisiting this review from time to time and update with what I find. I work in tech. I use, try and see a lot of technical products. For me, working from home (WFH) started in 1990 and is a way of life (long before COVID-19). This makes me particular about anything I need to use on a daily basis. But with COVID, I'm not traveling like I have in the past. Now I spend all day in Teams, Zoom, Google Talk and similar products. And I already have a lot of headsets, but none were perfect for: 1) All day comfort and no interfere with hearing aids 2) Good at long distances 3) Superb noise cancellation 4) Ability to work with more than one device and work well with Teams, Zoom and others 5) Well made, business-grade quality 6) Support 1) I have headphones like the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Cushy, wireless, great sound, but also terrible at Bluetooth and get very hot for me to wear after an hour. Instead of Over the Ear, I decided to try On Ear (which is what these are). As a hearing aid wearer, I need something that doesn't interfere with them - electronically or physically. The overall comfort for 8 hours of wear were good and without hearing aid issues too. Stars: 5 2) Along with the the other Bluetooth hassle, you can't get very far from your desk with Bluetooth - only about 30ft. I wanted to try DECT technology which can let the user get up to 600 ft away according to some sources. These are rated at 580ft. I was able to wear them from inside our apartment building to the dog relief area right at 450ft and they worked great! I also happened to get a call on my iPhone that I'd connected to the base unit's Bluetooth. That worked too! Stars: 5 3) As an apartment dweller, noise is a thing. Being on the 1st floor is great when the elevator is down, but it comes with lots of noise. Yard crews happen by my window with leaf blowers, weed whackers, lawn mowers - all while I'm in meetings. The Bose QC-35IIs did a good job with noise cancellation. I know this because I asked people on the meetings with me if they could hear it - and they couldn't. I was able to make a short, but similar observation with these during a meeting - no one could hear the mower. As anyone who works from home can tell you, noises from spouses, friends, kids, pets etc. are also a thing. I don't want my customers or coworkers listing to the dryer whine or the toilet flush. So far, everything has been great! Stars: 5 4) Multiple devices are a way of life. This thing needs to work competently with my cell phone (iPhone 12), computer (Windows 10), and software - especially Teams, Google and Zoom (in that order). This is where I'm starting to see differences. The Teams integration - of itself, is an interesting idea, but I don't see it working well so far in this product. Might be my setup so I'll withhold judgement for now. But where these can be challenging for WFH users is the lack of documentation from that perspective. When you're buying these, just know they're sold by companies, with deep relationships and knowledge, and help the business customer with these finer points. Just remember - you're not that person. Suggestion: Refocus some of the documentation at the home user. Stars: 3 5) Overall, the product is well made and up to the business quality aspect. Part of the reason I included Plantronics was their focus on business - and they delivered. Stars: 5 6) Support for anything can be sketchy no matter who's involved. I'm just a guy buying stuff on Amazon, so my expectation is YOYO (You're on Your Own!). I will reserve judgement on this and see what's truly available and if it's helpful I'll let you know. Not Rated Other things of note: a) The volume seems to be a little funky. Hard to dial into what I need sometimes. Probably a training issue b) I like the boom mic on my left side. In order to get that working, you just go into the desktop software and make the change. I liked that! c) The battery life was a non-issue. Ran all day and hardly seemed to need charging - huge win! Overall rating so far: 4.6

Great product and great customer service.
On December 1st of last year 2024, I purchased. a refurbished unit from RenewedHeadsets.com. It was delivered in a very timely and prompt manner. I had a small issue with it. I contacted their customer service. at renewedheadsets.com. and a replacement. was immediately sent with a return prepaid UPS label to send back the old unit. This allowed me to use my current unit while the replacement was delivered. The mic quality, value for money, comfort, quality, functionality, and ease of setup. has been a real blessing. If you work on the telephone using your laptop this is the best headset you can possibly purchase. I would recommend getting a refurbished one. which would be at a much better price than a brand-new one from renewedheadsets.com. I will be looking at what else they have for sale as I'm very pleased with them. do not hesitate one bit just because it says refurbished. If there's an issue they will send you a replacement at no charge in a very prompt and timely manner.

Expectations
I bought my Plantronics and have had issues with the glue on the earpieces wearing out and then the ear piece starts falling off. Quite annoying.

Love it, but wish it had mute LED on boom
I love the headset. On cooler days I can pace outside as I participate on some calls. It lets me go about 3 houses to the left, and 1 to the right from where I have the base station. I can also pace a loop around the perimeter of my property. On warmer days it works anywhere in my house. Battery life is good for an 8-9 hour phone call. Somewhere around 8-9 hours I get a battery low warning. It has never dropped a call, but after the battery low warning I have a cheap wired headset I can switch to for an hour. I have used it with Microsoft Teams, and with a traditional telephone. It doesn't switch between them as cleanly as I would like. I generally unplug the base from my laptop's USB port before using it with my regular telephone. I also have a Logitech wireless headset. On that one I have an LED on the microphone boom that tells me the headset is muted. The Plantronics headset has a voice the announces once every 5-10 minutes "muted". The LED is better, and I wish Plantronics would add it. The voice is easy to miss in a conversation. The only difficulties I have had are: -comfort - the headset can be a little loose. I have never actually had it fall off, but I have had several instances I was worried it might -When working with Teams the Mute status sometimes gets out of sync with Microsoft Teams. It tends to happen on long calls, and when I toggle my mute status farther from the base station. It has led to some circumstances where I thought I was talking, but had actually been muted. Once it happens on a call it tends to keep happening. Don't know if Plantronics, Microsoft, or both are at fault with this. If I leave the call and come back they stay in sync on the next call.

Horrible customer service
I've been using these SAVI headsets for 15 years. I still actually have two of the old ones that are still working great after changing the batteries and ear pads but they're losing compatibility with Teams so I decided to "upgrade". Got this one and the left side went out a few months before the warranty expired. I contacted HP and it took them a month to ship a replacement. This is a very expensive headset. I expect it to last a lot longer than a year and a half and I expect decent customer service, especially when the product is defective under warranty. I will never buy another HP headset again and I will have to think long and hard before buying anything from them considering their poor customer service.

Really great headset!
The mic isolation technology is top notch, we tested with people talking within a few feet of someone on a call and no noise was picked up. The active noise cancelling is nice, It eliminates ambient noises but not all noises such as conversations. However, the dual headset definitely helps you listen to the phone call in better focus. Top notch head set and we are ordering them for our entire office (26 people)

Maravillosos

Unsatisfactory
The head phones are uncomfortable and you can hear yourself talk through them. I replaced my old plantronics set with this one and found it to be extremely unsatisfactory. The range is nothing close to what is stated and my old one from 7 years ago is still better. I will look to find another brand. Quality sucks!
