Installed in GSHF3KGXCCWW GE side by side 2009 model. While I have replaced the motherboard about five times so far because of storms, outages and lightning. This time because the Electric company needed to change out my meter. Something spiked taking out the board. After being denied several times I called local news. They are now making amends. This board is very new and shiny. It works better than any board previously replaced. With all the practice of replacing boards this was the easiest. Very fast and easy install. The price was correct for the quality I received. Fridge is cooling and functioning very nicely. Just waiting for the next outage.

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW: While this board brought the fridge to life, I realized after a day or two that the fruit and vegetables were freezing. The damper was functioning and the thermistors were ok but I replaced them anyway. This failed to solve the problem and the temperature was completely unresponsive to the warmer/colder settings for the freezer and fresh food part. I contacted the seller and his closing comment was that I should buy a GE original board. This board was advertised to replace the WR55X10996 board originally in my fridge, but obviously it does not function properly in my refrigerator. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This worked like a charm for my bottom-freezer GE refrigerator Model gdsl3kcycrls, whose control board was fried during a power outage last week. In that outage, one of the resistors that is part of the "snubber" circuit to protect the evaporator motor was burned, the one next to it that apparently protects the condenser fan was not. See the picture of my old board, attached. I tested both fans and they worked fine, but the board was fried. IMPORTANTLY, on my model, the left-most connector that goes to (what I believe is) J5 is only a 5-pin connector. It has orange, red and purple wires. The new board has a 9-pin connector. So I had to trim off the little piece of plastic on the housing of the female connector and plug it in to the last 5 pins of the 9 pin connector that is on the left side of the new board, sitting there all by itself next to the 3 power pins. It's obvious which end this 5-pin connector should be attached to, because the second pin is missing on the female and male connectors. The fridge won't work if you don't connect this connector.

Instructions and product were spot on. No issues and fridge is back online.

My 20 year old GE Profile fridge was acting up for the last couple of years, unstable temperature, the temperature display would occasionally go dark and at times the relays on the board would just click for minutes not able to start-up the fridge. Checking some of the board 's components, many were out of tolerance. Time for a new board and the reviews on this board were good, so for the money, I had not much to lose. Board came in two days, it was an easy replacement and two months later, I'm wondering why I didn't do this before. Fridge has been working 'so far' as when it was new.

Fridge went out Dec 2017. Paid someone to fix it. Broke again Dec 2020. Bought this replacement and after easy installation and much relief it worked. Lasted us 3 years almost to the day. Not ready to buy a new fridge so we hope this 3rd purchase does the trick. I guarantee I'm not buying a GE brand fridge after this 3rd motherboard fails.

Wife wanted me to buy new refrigerator after this ge side by side stopped working completely! I found this motherboard that matched my model and so happy I found this part and it worked 100%. Worked for one week then stopped sending defrost command so evaporator froze up, had to reinstall original board with less critical issues to use refrigerator. Board paperwork claims one year warranty but return policy is only 30 days, buyer beware!

After the power outage the refrig stopped working (GE Profile PSS26MSRC). The lights were on but the water dispenser did not work and the compressor did not start. This is a 15 year old refrig so I did not want to spend $400+ for the OEM board. Instead I bought this one and installed it. The refrig is working again. Installation was easy (10 minutes), just be careful as you pull the wire connectors from the old board. Mark the connectors and take a picture before removing them.
