Loved these knives from Taylor’s eye witness. Very light with good handles and extremely sharp. Found cutting up veg very easy and the block the knives slot into is a great design which can hold more than the five knives plus scissors.

I had been looking for a knife set for a while.There are so many to choose from I was to be honest confused which would be the best for me.I saw the recommendation and saw it was from a small independent business who had been manufacturing knives for years so decided to try them.Good quality, nice clean appearance and handy, safe block for storage.

The base feels a bit basic and the smaller knives are not great for chopping

These knives only lasted a few months. Firstly, they are extremely lightweight and flimsy. They lost all of their sharpness very quickly and sharpening them had little to no effect. They also rusted. I know you get what you pay for, but I expected them to last a LITTLE longer!

Firstly the positives. The container looks good and not tacky or cheap looking. It functions relatively well although the outside slots are loose as if they have no lining like the others, perhaps this is deliberate but it would expand the capacity for extra knives. All the same it functions ok with the bonus that any knives with black handles regardless of brand fit in quite nicely with the others. The handles are a soft plastic which I find ok and also they look ok. That's about it for the positives. Unfortunately the breadknife is utterly useless because the blade is too thick. It basically destroys the bread while cutting. The other knives are not that sharp and are just plain blades without serration so they may sharpen up ok but out the box they are unimpressive. I've bought another set of knives of a differing brand and I'm going to use the holder which I really like but the knives are just not very impressive. To be fair they are a fairly cheap set I suppose so I haven't returned them as I took a chance, although I got the impression these were a decent brand for knives from the reviews. I'm not convinced. Container five stars but knives get zero as I'm having to change them. I've averaged this out as 2 stars for the review as I can't believe this bread knife is as bad as it is. I thought there was something wrong with the bread as the worktop was covered in breadcrumbs. Then I tried my 30 year old "world's sharpest knife" and it sailed through without a crumb in sight. I also can't believe nobody has mentioned this in the reviews. I could do better with a hacksaw. Not a complete rip-off at the price but I was expecting better.
