I was pleasantly surprised, I bought this as a gift for my adult son. He told me it didn't work. So I had it in my truck to take home and return.I suddenly found myself with a dead battery unexpectedly and needing to call roadside assistance on a 114-degree day in Arizona. So I thought what the heck I can try the unit and if it doesn't work I can call for roadside assistance. I didn't want to sit waiting for a wreaker for an hour in the sweltering heat.I read and followed the directions carefully on the G22 1500A unit. (Because I thought my son may have not read them and therefore didn't get the results he wanted, just saying...) I have a 5.7L - 350 cu in Chevrolet Suburban. Wow, It worked great, instant start with plenty of power. Go figure! Reading and following directions actually works Son... So I bought another for my daughters' car for Xmas as well... And taught them both how to properly use them... Allow me to suggest that you read and follow directions. Trying to use it intuitively does NOT work...

I bought this as a gift. When they went to use it the jumper cables they did not work. You would think you would be able to get replacement parts. No reply No customer service

It did not start my ford 460. I got about 10 seconds of attempt before the heat protection kicked in. I gave up and bought a optimum battery and jumper leads.

Pros: Alligator cables have a good length and small enough to be in tight spaces. Nice case with sturdy batteryCons: only complaint is would've been nice if it came with a USB C cable so I could wall charge it without having to go out and buy one. The flashlight in my opinion isn't that strong but might be biased because I'm used to streamlight flashlights.Overall it's an amazing product. I keep this at home for backup. I work as a mechanic and often have dead cars. I would most likely buy another one to keep at work in the future.

It worked great! The 2nd day I got it, I saw someone in a parking lot with the hood up. I went over and asked if I could help. He said the battery was dead. I told him I just got a portable jumper battery and I would try it on his car. I hooked it up and he turned the key. The car started at once! I could not believe how fast it kicked it over. This is a great product that everyone should keep with them in their vehicle.

The media could not be loaded. I had a dead battery in a 2013 Chevy Cruze. I tried supplying power over and over again, after fully charging the unit. I made sure I was doing it correctly. I tried it so many times in succession that I drained the charging unit to less than 25% capacity. But it was still not even CLOSE to enough power for me to start my car. See video attached.After this, I called my insurance company to come give me a jump. They used a much larger portable jump starter, and it worked on the first try. So it's definitely the device, and not my car that's the issue.This MIGHT work if the car battery is just low (I'm just guessing here), but if the battery is dead, you probably won't have any luck.

I purchased the unit for use on my 37 year old (1982) Mercedes 300SD ( Diesel) that would not start in cold weather. When I opened the package, I was surprised at the quality of the case and was certain the product inside would also be quality. I was not surprised!! After charging, it performed perfectly. My old beauty doesn't go any where without it. THANKS!!!Don Craig

Works great. Started my 94 Ford Thunderbird instantly. It's so much better than using battery cables, and is so quick and easy to use.
