Tomato Powder, 2 oz.

I love this product and will be buying it again in a larger size. It goes a long way. A small spoonful adds big punch to chili, soups, stews and any tomato friendly recipe. I use 1 teaspoon when I make homemade chicken broth to deepen the color and add an extra element of flavor. It also works very well when reconstituted with water or broth as a tomato sauce or paste. I even added a couple tablespoons to broth and added celery salt, onion powder, a bit of butter and cream for a delicious "homemade" tomato soup. If you don't tell, no one will know how easy it is. Just simmer 10 or 15 minutes before adding the cream. Wonderful!

I needed it for a homemade version of nacho cheese powder. It's a nice taste but make sure to transfer it to a more air-tight containter after opening as it will clump up quickly if there's any humidity.

I never leave bad reviews for a product because I hate reading other people complaints. However, this product should have been taken off the shelf. The whole package was hard as a rock and i thought at first, that I would still be able to use it, so I tried it in a salad dressing. However, it tastes terrible and will not dissolve no matter how many times I blended it or shook the mixture. I would normally return an item like this to Amazon since I am a prime member. But since this was an add-on item, they will not take it back. I will not be purchasing any other add-on items from Amazon. It was a complete rip-off and I threw it out.

Tired of tomatoes not tasting like tomato? Or sickly sweet sauces that taste more like sugar than tomato?BUY THIS!!! Amazing how much it brings sauces back to tasting like a tomato used to unless you grow/can your own or purchase the paste in tubes. This stuff works well and a little sprinkle will make you smile.Totally hooked!

Ok, it did arrive as a powder & I don't know how long it took but I never opened it and it's hard now. I live in SC where the humidity is high and this does happen to some spices (like cheap lemon pepper and low-quality garlic powder) but it has always been something that was opened. This was never opened and has thick plastic. If you decide to buy, be sure to use it right away.

Decent quality and flavor.

This rounded out the flavor as needed for a burrito recipe for backpacking. Not much seemed to go a long ways, and the meal would be pretty mediocre without it.
