The Sharper Image ESI-P400 Freedom Premium Wireless Speaker

This speaker is very good so far. I use it mostly for disc golfing and keep it in my spare beverage holder and its loud enough that my wife complained that she was trying to talk to me and I couldn't hear her. So it has multiple uses :)It plugs right in to the wall which is awesome for charging though can be a hindrance since it is over-sized. Other than that I love that you can either use bluetooth or plug it in directly through the included aux cable so it doesnt drain the battery. Box says 4 hours of playtime on bluetooth or 12 hours on aux. I haven't used it for more than an hour or two and never had any battery issues always using bluetooth.

A little disappointed. This is my second speaker. For some reason my first speaker had much better, richer buss. It looks like something changed (downgraded) in design of this unit.

loud, good quality and perfect for having people over and not leaving your phone or mp3 player laying around at a good price

it works good but it is absolutely not loud enough. It was very affordable though so it was a good deal

I'm more opposed to the idea now, than the product. And I can't really say who's fault the quality issues are.KNOW THIS: You cannot add this speaker to your existing setup, both on MAC and Windows I was able to easily add the speaker, but I wasn't able to keep my original speakers as well :( So this is not an add but a substitution.Additionally my speaker was 5 feet away from my computer and clipped in and out of sound. Was this my Bluetooth dongle, or was it the speaker? No easy way to tell.In the end, it's not what I wanted, and it's not impressive.

I have a boom tube that I have used for 10+ years in the OR for listening while I work. The boomtube had good sound, but annoying as it has so many cables to attach, etc.This device recharges as it sits in the wall outlet - not a problem in the OR - many outlets all around. The sound is best when against a wall rather than, say, sitting on a shelf.This easily blue-tooths into an iPad, phone, etc. and you are then cable free!I have not used the phone function as it does not seem practical, but as a speaker I like it a great deal.
