Just because the E5 packs a punch, doesn't mean it can't look nice. We went with a smooth, finish to keep you traveling in style. Simple, unobtrusive features.

This product was a gift to myself as I attend many meetings and there is not always an outlet available to plug in and recharge my two cell phones. This seems to be an excellent product and I'm sure it will be used quite a bit. Especially nice for when I go on vacation and can literally charge my cell phone or Kindle Fire anytime and anywhere I want to. The price was quite reasonable. The product, from Anker, has been first rate as the other products that I've bought from them have been as well.

Bad product and bad sac.
A bad product, a terrible sac, I don't recommend it for my worse enemy. It cames with some charge and I use it and find it great.till this charge finish. I put it to recharge and it doesn’t work. I let it in diferent outlets of my house and used other similar cables I had but the blue lights stayed in the second one. I ask a refund because I read a lot of reveus talking about the same problem. I am waiting to send it back and receive my money.

Back in the day, Anker could do better
Alright, I know my expectations might have been a little bit exaggerated but as an owner of Anker Astro Slim2 (a 2013 model charger from Anker) with which I was EXTREMELY satisfied (even though the built-in wire eventually got broken, but it gave me like 400 charges before that) I was really expecting a lot more from this one. First of all, it doesn't charge my phone (Nexus 5) neither 6 nor 7 times as it promised, the maximum you can squeeze out of a single charge is like 4 full charges. Anker Astro Slim2 is still giving me 2 charges, after 2 years of use, while being 3 times smaller and lighter.Second of all, I thought the manufacturer should keep an eye on all the flaws such products might have and eventually polish the flaws making their products better. Obviously, it's not the case with Anker. There is a button on the bigger side that allows you to check the charge and turn on the flashlight. The button placement makes it really easy to press it accidentally, leading to having a bright beam lighting in your eye while you're sleeping, lighting pocket / bag and other awkward situations. Let alone the questionable flashlight feature (do you really need it, when there's a flashlight in virtually every smartphone nowadays?), but why not put the button on the side where you are less likely to accidentally press it?Also, there are 2 outputs, one is 1A and another is 2A. I can't imagine a situation when you'd like to charge your phone SLOWER, rather than faster, and would use the 1A output. Why not make two 2A outputs? Well, there MIGHT be devices that only require 1A, but as far as I'm concerned most of the modern smartphones / tablets can be charged with 2A with no problems.Last of all, it's much more heavy than I expected, I thought with that kind of weight it should've really charge the phone a lot of times, but it actually doesn't. So, this time, I'm quite disappointed and will probably give this product a 2 star-review. Sorry, Anker, I'm sure you can do better.

Questionable Buy - Anker Astro E5 16000mAh Portable Charger ...
* Bought two, overall a good product when it worked.* After 3 months of use, the input connector for the charger stopped working and now it's a paperweight.* Will not purchase again.

For a few dollars more I should have popped for the 4-port charger. This one is not much smaller and about as heavy as the larger model. Has a cool flashlight which I have not found much use for yet. Key presses seem like they lag behind so sometimes I have to cycle through the entire sequence more than once. The charger itself is excellent.

Don't leave home without it.
I have made the Anker Astro E5 battery apart of my EDC (every day carry items) very nice design compact a little heavy but very convenient. It has been useful in emergency power situations. Power outages or no available power sources to plug in situations. It has a handy built in flash light that is great in a pinch. It has two USB ports which allows for a couple of devices to charge at the same time. One port is 2 amp (turbo charge for my phone and my iPad mini.) and a1 amp port as well for normal charge. Overall I love it so much that I brought my mother one as a gift.

Anker is usually spot on but...
I have purchased many different items from Anker and have loved every single one, but this one. I have this model but in white, and have had it now for about 4 months. The item never seems to fully charge, and if it does it seems that one charging of my Galaxy S 5 Active nearly depletes it. Forget charging a tablet. I've had smaller capacity external batteries from Anker that work much better. I love Anker but am very dissappear with this particularge item.

This was excellent until I could not charge it fully anymore.
At first, I loved this. The power available in this pack is amazing.I have had it about 6 weeks now, and for some reason, it will not charge. I can't get beyond 2 dots. I tried multiple 5V 2A chargers, multiple difference cords, and even tried direct to a USB 2.0 and 3.0 portt. No change. I'm nervous that this will not charge anymore, and I haven't had it for very long.Again, It was great while it worked. But not lasting more than 6 weeks is not to my liking. This is why I only gave it 2 stars.
