Great tool
I used it more than I thought I would and it performs great. I heard other broke the pin removal post when removing the pin. I did this several times without grinding anything off. If it's lined up, the pin is easily pushed right out. The rivet ball that spreads out the end of a new master link could be redesigned. I broke several of them because it is too wide and would be better if it were tapered more to spread out rather than push down on the pin ends. Very difficult to get the proper spread dimension. I broke two before I found something else to help with that. Breaks and assembles a master link like a master. Rivets like a jester... be careful. But I would recommend it for sure. Very easy to handle and strong materials. Redesign that rivet ball to be more pointed... If a manufacture happens to read this...

Very effective, well-built and great priceed chain tool !
I used the tool to take off my old 630 chain (after grinding off the rivet heads, of course) and this tool worked effortlessly ! Took the old link off, pushed the new side-piece on and enlarged the new hollow rivet ends all in about 15 min with minimal effort on my part ! The tool is well-made and looks like it will last. Great price, great product, easy to use and does what it's supposed to - you can't go wrong with this chain tool, in my opinion !

this looked like a very sturdy tool
When I purchased this item, I needed something to smash the rivet on a motorcycle chain. At first, this looked like a very sturdy tool. I was impressed. I took it apart, and greased it up with molly lube. (messy,, but awesome stuff) when I used it on my chain, it literally destroyed the ball on the end and did not do anything to the chain rivet. The ball is as soft as a be be. This was a waist of money for me. One word... Unhappy...

Nice tool, with room for improvement
It's robust. Far more so than the Motion Pro PBR that broke on the first use. It got the job done and it's still intact, so I'm happy enough with it. I have two complaints: 1) This doesn't come with a nice storage case like the PBR. It costs more than the PBR and they stuff this tightly in a little cardboard box... 2) The little part that the chain link side plate sets into is poorly designed. Attached is a pic of my 530 chain side plate set on it. It fits loosely and that causes misalignment issues when trying to line up the pins to the holes. I plan to drill out the holes larger so that misalignment won't matter much anymore, but I'm still disappointed.

Pro tool made to work and to last.
I decided that it was time to stop messing around with the cheaper alternatives. I watched a YouTube tutorial on replacing a chain and this is the one they recommended. Very strong and very precise. Worth the extra cost to have a tool that will last a lifetime and do the job right.

Easy to use
Flaring the pins was very simple. Using the tool for the first time, I had a little difficulty lining up the plate to push the master link into place. Once it lined up, the process only took, I believe, 3 turns. Very simple! Highly recommend

Pot metal guide broke first use.
Extraction guide was pot metal casting and broke on first use.

With the number of reviews about broken tools from other brands...this one had the best strength and quality responses. But dear God, the video from the manufacturer on how to use is...disappointing. NO close ups of ANYTHING important. NO instruction about which parts to swap out and what they look like. Instead the video is you watching a guy use a tool from a distance... But the tool is fantastic. Be careful to think logically about what you are doing so that you know your aren't making the tool fight itself.

I broke the extractor pin the first time i tried to break an EK 530ZVX3 chain without buffing the rivet head like they say in the video on YouTube. Also had a hard time to get a missing part at the delivery.
