BOG PCA, Professional Camera Adapter Tripod Attachment with Switcheroo System, Standard Connection Threads, Accessory Plate, and Precise One-Handed Angle Adjustments for Hunting, Shooting and Outdoors

I bought this for a late season elk hunt, where I knew that I would need to be glassing hills from a long distance before heading in. I know that I wouldn't have been able to find the elk like I did without this. It allows me look through my binos hands free, which makes me much more steady. Once you are in position and let go of the trigger it holds steady and doesn't move. I've gone on two Javelina hunts in Arizona. These animals are so small that you need to be able to hold very still to find movement in the brush. The first hunt, I didn't have this and never glassed up a Javelina. The second hunt I had this and was able to find them. I have a hunt coming up in Texas for Aoudad and this thing is going with me!

I picked this camera adapter up for my BogPod for a trip to Wyoming for Mule Deer and Antelope. I had also purchased a new spotting scope, and the BOGgear camera adapter worked great holding my new scope, a Kenai Leopold which is fairly heavy. The Bogpod held the scope very steady and moving it to see things was very smooth by squeezing the handle. I would highly recommend this as an alternate to buying a camera type tripod with the camera adapter, I believe it is more effective money spent, 2 tools in one, shooting sticks and a scope or camera holder.

Easy to use. Sensitive to touch when maneuvering but holds position. Has some weight to it. Worth it if you’re glassing.

The quick disconnect base breaks easily and there is only one in the package. You can not connect multiple platforms without changing the base every time. Bog did sell a two pack of the quick disconnect platforms but they have discontinued that product and not you can not get replacement parts. They literally do not sell the base without the full mount. My intention was to connect multiple bases to different platforms to quickly switch them out. No that is not possible. They do not sell quick disconnect bases for any of their systems.

These items are confusingly listed. This is for a Bog-Pod shooting stick according to the item's listing. I am using it on a Bog-Pod tripod. They apparently are interchangeable between shooting sticks and tripods. Why not list them that way to start with? They are not rock solid stable but they are stable enough for my needs and probably for most users. I like it.

Wobbly garbage that was missing parts and got ZERO help from BG customer support. The switcharoo system has so much play that you can not get the camera or spotting scope to ever lock into a position without it wobbling at the post to tripod port. Also missing the 3/8 shim adapter for the mounting plate, and you try getting the BOG (so called) customer support to do anything but pass the buck or take 3 weeks to reply.

Bog pod has put together the greatest system! I love it! I have multiple accessories all of them are great! I would love to see them come out with carbon fiber tri-pods

Quick and easy to use, I use mine with a spotting scope and has been a life changing with the ability to quickly install and make adjustments of my point of aim, while out hunting or scouting for the next season hunt
