Yubo Deluxe Lunchbox with Peace design, Green

I love that the company describes these as, basically, "just the right size" - of course, that determination is for the customer to make and, in my opinion, these are too large. The ice pack really puts the size over the top and the containers are large also. Of course, if you have an older child and want them to take a lot of food with them these might be right for you. My kid eats about 12 ounces of food during the day - this box is too large for that.

I really loved the idea of this lunch box. I was concerned about not being able to fit a drink in it, but I ordered some drink containers that I thought might work to solve the issue. In the end, if you want the ice pack to fit you can't fit a drink container in. And if you want portions of any decent size, you can't use the smaller containers that come with this box. I have to return it, because it's not practical for me to send my kindergartner to school with a lunch box that doesn't have enough space for more than 4 grapes or chips and then on top of that have to send an additional thermos for water/juice. All looks no functionality.

I have had this lunchbox since January 2011 and used it right after my daughter's first birthday. I had bought quite a few other "cute" lunchboxes including Skip Hop and some neoprene bags and theirs does not compare to the Yubo lunchbox. Any cloth lunchbox that isn't washable (like the Built NY ones) are useless. They all get a horrible smell after little use and surface cleanings just don't do the job. Neoprene bags are great but they aren't formed and food tends to get smashed and disorganized. The Yubo lunchbox is all plastic, has some seriously cute designs (I bought personalized face plates on their website which included free shipping for $10.00). I can prepare healthy meals for my daughter every day and it's displayed so beautifully in the lunch box, it makes you want to have one for yourself. The best part? A simple rinse at night is all you need and you do have to remember to put the ice block into the freezer at night. If you want your child to have a great lunchbox that will never stink, is super cute and doesn't leak, this is perfect. The faceplates are easy to pop off but don't accidentally pop off unless you drop the lunchbox on concrete (yes, this has happened). All in all this is a 5-star product for me though, because a clean, good smelling and healthy lunchbox is well worth it! If I want to make it feel new, I can just buy a new faceplate for it, which I can even customize with a picture (one day I'll get around to doing this too!).

I wish the sides snapped a little harder, but it's a great lunchbox. Haven't had a spill yet. Fun to fill, and fun for my daughter to eat out of!

The design you order should be painted on. Then change with additional vinyl face plates. Both face places were torn on the first day it was brought to school. She will not use it any more.

My daughter has brought lunch to preschool/kindergarten for the last 3 years, and in that time we've gone through at least 6 different lunch box/sack options - they just get so GROSS. Decided to give this lunchbox a try after seeing it on Shark Tank. The upfront cost is a little more, but considering the cost of the SIX lunchboxes we went through previously, this is a bargain. I've had no issues with the size, or with the changeable covers, and no problem with it opening unintentionally (all mentioned in other reviews). We've used it a few months now and it looks as good as the day it arrived. We will definitely be buying these for our other kids when they start school.

Love our Yubo. We say this on Shark Tank and bought it right away. My gluten free child needs to take her lunch everyday. We love that this comes apart and goes in the dishwasher. So every nook and cranny can get clean. We love that the faceplates can be changed out depending our of child's wants. They offer more face plates on the Yubo site. You can personalize them with pictures and names. They offer holiday themes. The only part I do not like is the handle. The material it is made out of gets dirty and won't come clean. Other then that we love our Yubo. It shipped and arrived in a timely manner.

What I love:--easy to clean and dishwasher safe. This is critical!--Cute designs.What I would change:-- my child's thermos (for soup) doesn't fit. Lunchbox needs to be wider or yubo should create a thermos-- no matter where you put the strap, the food containers end up on their side and food slides. Easily fixed if yubo created an upright lunchbox-- the containers, and the lunchbox, are hard to open for my 4YO. My 6YO doesn't have a problem however.
