Worked great
This edger worked great. I used it on a 8-22' extendable pole also by Mr. Long Arm to cut in the the top of my 20 ft walls. Taking it slow and using a brush to spread the paint onto the edger rather than ripping the edger in the paint tray kept the rollers clean and gave me perfect lines. The pad on the edger had to be replaced halfway through my multi room project, so having multiple on hand is a good idea.

Easy to paint edges
First things first, when applying paint to the pad use a brush to add more paint to make it much easier and quicker to paint. I have tried dabbing the Pad in the paint and yes it will work at times but you must be very careful not to get the wheels painted or else you will leave streaks on unwanted surfaces. Also try not to get the outer edges of the pad covered in paint, I would get unwanted paint on trim when painting edges. Overall it's a great product that let's you paint edges with a breeze. It does take some practice but once you get the hang of it you will finish a room in no time.

so much better than shur-line
I needed a stable, high-quality paint edger for a terribly tall hallway (>22 feet high) so needed to mount it on an extra long painting pole. The Shur-Line edger was a mess, lave track lines on the ceiling 50% of the time, got gunky quickly, and the pad fell off a few times. However, this product worked flawlessly. It doesn't "pivot" side to side like the Shur-Line does; however, that is actually a lot better when working with such a long pole. It's a lot more stable, and having it on an angle (when you are reaching and over right or left) is far better with this guy. While only a portion of the pad crosses the painting surface, it's far more stable, covers more area with a level amount of paint, and is a whole lot more quick and easy, less messy and feels stable. Highly recommended.

One glaring issue
I haven't used this paint edger yet but I see one glaring issue. Due to the thickness of the pad, the wheels sit back too far to be able to cut in around some casings and baseboards without getting paint on them. Other than that it seems to be well made.

Why make such a great product but make it impossible to find replacement pads?!
There is nothing like this on the market. It is a much needed tool for edging where tall walls meet the ceiling. It is incredibly effective and lightyears above the three other products we tried. However, it is a one and done gadget. Make sure you get all your edges done at once and make sure it's all the same color, because finding replacement pads is next to impossible. The irony is that they exist. However they are constantly out of supply on amazon and not even order-able from Mr. LongArms website. Click "where to buy" and I find one hardware store. When I try to order a $2 replacement pad from that store, they expect me to pay $14 shipping! I'm not sure if this is a ploy to get you to buy a whole new Paint Edger gadget, but it's a pretty lousy set up. Especially for such prominent, supposedly developed and respected company with otherwise great products. Sad and frustrating!

Load this tool with a paint brush
I purchased and used every edging tool available nearby. I bought Lowes version, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and Sherwin Williams. They all share the same failings. First, they all use a poor quality, poorly attached paint surface. They all popped off the edging tool with light use, repeatedly and made big messes. Second, they all have very limited articulation in the arm, making them useless for reaching anywhere but an easily accessed, flat surface. Third, they all have wobbly, undersized guide wheels, placed too close to the paint pad. Fourth, they all only have one, long edge seated with guide wheels. All of these shortcomings are fixed with the Mr. Longarm paint edger. The guide wheels are placed in a much more practical space, well away from the paint surface. There is a guide wheel on one short edge, making edging in corners very easy. The pad is two layers. The top layer is your paint aplicator and just a smidge set further jn the tool edges than the base pad. The pad is easy to clean with cool water and hand soap...being reusable over multiple rooms and coats. The plastic is far sturdier and the bigger wheels are soundly attached, so they can't wobble towards the surface you are painting...unlike all the others I tried. Finally, the arm articulates one hundred and eighty degrees, meaning angled walls, ceiling edges above cabinets and any other odd angle you can reach with this attached to a pole, can be painted with this tool. The only regret I have is not purchasing this first. As has been said, apply the paint with a brush. Dip your 1.5" paint brush about three times, painting the tool face each time. It may appear too little, but it's plenty. The only drawback is a replacement pad is double the cost of simply purchasing the tool, which arrives already loaded with one. As that is the case, when the pad eventually wears out, I will just purchase another tool. If you are a DIY painter, who is weary of dodgy edges with painters tape, skip the crappy imitators and grab this tool. No taping needed. Just apply a steady hand and light pressure and you will save yourself much aggrivation.

Great Applicator Pad!
I purchased this to reach a very difficult to access area, but I am most impressed with the quality of the application pad. The sponge backing other brands do not have helped deliver a smooth and even coat over a longer stretch of wall. No going back to the other brands for me! The only downside is the attachment does not swivel so you have to be directly in line with what you are painting.

Does not work
This was a pretty horrible experience. Following the directions exactly, you don’t get paint to the top edge of the wall. Maybe a bit underneath it and it’s not really straight. The wheels will touch the wet paint (on the wall). And when it does, it’ll leave the paint on the ceiling too. So now you have to go back and touch up your ceiling as well. Forget this tool and just use a paintbrush.

Good tool
Excellent tool! Made getting into hard to reach corners so much easier. Slip resistance is as good as can be expected when using paint - I found given the simplicity of the tool, it was very easy to use on the end of a standard telescopic pole. Standard fit and good value for money.

Good for getting a straight line
Whilst painting the high stairwell drop , Mr Longarm paint edger achieved a far more accurate cutting in line than previously attempting to use a paint brush on a pole. It was quick and easy to use and would recommend this product and avoids having to climb a ladder. We used it in conjunction with a Harris extension pole which it screwed onto.

Doesn’t fit normal size stick extensions, gotta buy their $60 one
So I bought this and was pretty disappointed it didn’t fit a normal size extension I bought from rona. You have to buy their stick which is $60?!?!? I got mine for $25 at rona I wouldn’t spend that money so I had to tape it to my stick and it was a hassle as you can imagine. I really wish it for because it did a great job. I ended up going to rona to buy the same item that fit the normal sticks. Pretty upset that this is just for their brand ....
