Not as pictured, but ...
I ordered this but received CD-2 Company Part No. 4111R. The bottle is the same, but the labeling is different; for example, it does not say "CD-2 Maxx", but only "Oil Detergent". I'm not sure whether the product illustrated is a later or earlier version. I added the product to a car already using full synthetic Mobil 1 Ext. Perf., and was able to tell the engine performance improved right away; it ran "tighter" and the connection between the gas pedal movement and the delivered engine power was more solid than before. Whether it cleans up sludge or engine internals is too early to tell.OK, I've now used this product for over a year in various cars. In each case, engine response was noticeably improved, even when added to engines with freshly changed oil (even expensive synthetics). MPGs improved around 10 to 20%. So I have added another star.

My dad had a 53 Buick Super. He changed the oil and filter every 3
My story about CD-2 goes way back to 1957...when it was labeled Alemite CD-2. My dad had a 53 Buick Super. He changed the oil and filter every 3,000. His oil of choice was always Shell 10W-30 oil... a very low viscosity oil, the lowest in the 10-30 lines available. When you drained the oil the stuff ran out like alcohol. The SAE boys at Shell always claimed the thinner the better if it does not allow metal to metal contact. I digress...anyway....53 was the first year Buick quit using the Straight 8 except in the Special. Supers and Roadmasters etc used the new V-8. Dad bought the car used. Thank goodness since whenever he bought new the engines never broke in properly. His purchased new 59 LeSabre would barely start when warm because the cylinder to piston clearance was...too tight! What a dog! And lousy mileage. Any way to make a long story short. From about 50,000miles to 365,000..which is when I lost track of the 53 car.. the Super used a quart of oil every 3,000 miles. Yup...original engine at 365,000 used a quart in 3,000. So what you say? Well there was one lifter in that engine that would not pump up properly and would "tick"...about every 15,000 miles. But if you put CD-2 in the crankcase when the ticking appeared, within a 100 miles the ticking would go away. So... instead of adding CD-2 every time the oil was changed, the CD-2 was added when the problem raised it's head and kept that fussy lifter quiet for about 15,000. So I just put it in my 2001 Accord 2.3 at 190,000 and that lived on Valvoline. I put the CD2 and Formula Shell 5w-20 in the Accord. Two months later I am looking at spending $600 + for a new camshaft seal and oil soaked timing belt. I think the CD2 today is a different chemistry compared to the old. Don't use it.It appears to put your oldd engine seals at risk.
