Very bright lamp that works well for my needs!
I bought this lamp because I needed a particular base style to fit the Allen-Bradley stack-light unit I had; these units use a 24 volt lamp that are almost like an 1157, but with the pins aligned, and not offset like the 1157.Which is too bad, because I already had some 1157 LED lamps - I had considered modifying one, but I wasn't sure it would stay in the socket - and it wasn't possible to modify the socket, either. And socket pigtails for the 1157 didn't seem to be designed for how I wanted to use the lamp...What I wanted to do was to make a flashing light beacon with the lamp, running on 12 volts, and controlled with a transistor (and ultimate by a microcontroller) - this fit the bill perfectly, it's very bright, and doesn't use a lot of current (perfect for the TIP102 I'm controlling it with). With the right code on the controller, it flashes well, almost as good as a xenon strobe. In steady state mode, it easily lights up everything, and it can be PWM-controlled to adjust its brightness, fade in-and-out, etc.One thing that surprised me about the bulbs, is that instead of being "bare" (ie - PCB with LEDs on it) or inside a clear glass or plastic "bulb", like you sometimes see (better for an automotive light) - these bulbs were encased in a very clear molded silicone rubber. Basically potted in the rubber - but it's extremely clear. That kind of detail should make for a very durable bulb - moisture and such issues getting to the LEDs and drivers shouldn't be a problem at all.I think this bulb will well suit anyone's purpose or needs, and the price is outstanding, too!

Worked fine - hard to fit
I got them for my grandpas really old Craftsman router. So yeah they were a hard fit but they did eventually fit. And I read on a forum for that issue that it wouldn't matter which ones i ordered that it would have been a hard fit. So that's why I gave 5 stars. They are great little lights. Really bright!

Very bright. Great replacement for small boat stern light.
Quite a bit brighter than cheaper LED options I have used and a bit shorter so it fits in a tighter space. I don't yet know about longevity, but I like what I see so far.

blew it
This was to replace a bulb in a vacuum cleaner. Same volt and shape. Blew the second I turned it on. Not helpful.

Disappointing!
I order these particular bulbs for several reasons, but the don’t really matter.I could not install the bulbs into the fixture I bought them for until mid November. They last just over two weeks and two weeks waiting to be installed and the failed in no time at all.I wanted the extra bright bulbs which I order and received. I installed them and I was very happy since these are for my navigation lights, receded mounted and water tight and I started noticing the were not as bright as they were at first. I check the bstterirs and the were fully charged. I then decide to run new wires, which I do every three ir four years because I like keeping good wires through out the boat, too important on the water. After this I figured I better check the lights themselves and when I did there were 49-60% of the individual lights not working. These are no longer bright and probably do not meet the USCG requirement of 500’ for visibility.Of course the 30 days past and now I have to repeat this pricess again. It is not so much the cost roughly $15 with shipping. But the time I spent and will have to spend again to replace them. These are for in navigation safety. These failed miserable. Unfortunately.Stephen
