Matys All Natural Cough Syrup, 4 oz(Pack of 2)

Kind of foul tasting, like bad Caramel or molasses, but it really works on coughing and reducing mucus, so I suck it up and follow it with a lot of flavored water! I can't imagine children tolerating the taste. BTW, when it gets down towards the bottom of the bottle I add water to it, shake it vigorously and finish every last drop because it is pricey.

The reviews regarding taste were mixed but I decided to give it a try for my six year old. He hated it. I tried many ways to disguise it but was caught each time and ended up giving it away to another parent to see if they might have any luck using it for their kids.I tried taking some and must admit the taste was very strange and unappealing. As much as we might like to avoid sugars, etc., this needs some sweetening or something or the kids will just refuse it (even mixed with a drink).

Im all about natural organic and the best for the fam, but i hate to say i was disappointed with this one not because it didn't work because we didn't get to see the results but because of the taste, first of all is black brownish kind of color, very thik and my kid definitely wont swallow it no way! You have to shake very very well the bottle and the ingredients cant be better i would def try it myself when i get sick but for kids is not the best they wont have it, i use similasan and it taste like honey and water but it does the job too and place an onion under the bed with a little sugar and lime during the night they sleep great all night, im sure this medicine works but the taste is horrible however you have the best ingredients in one bottle for adults that can take it i recommend but if you have a normal kid that doesn't like medicine just go for similasan

I love this for my kids! It works better andmuch faster to soothe my little ones cough than any other cough syrup behave tried. Ad isn't full of dangerous chemicals so my two year old uses it too. I'm a firm believer in the natural healing properties of honey.

But it was not. I'm all for the natural route versus OTC meds, but good grief this stuff is awful tasting. Even with your nose plugged. I like the list of ingredients, and I have no doubt that they work, but I only got in one spoonful and that's all I'm getting out of this. I'll never find out if this works, but the taste is something else. The liquid itself was pretty gross looking. Doesn't smell that great either. Made me very hesitant to put it in my mouth, but I plugged my nose and went for it. One of the most pungent medicines I've ever had. Couldn't stand the aftertaste in my mouth and RAN to get something to drink to get it out. Almost sickeningly over sweet. I'll stick to plain honey and lemon juice. They taste better and work just as well as this could have... if I can get more down.

Love this stuff. Great price works well if you have a cough. I have acid reflux that makes me cough sometimes. I just take a slug and it is gone.
