A well-made and good value mouse pad
I like this mouse pad. Light weight and work with optical mouse well. Responsive and each to carry around. It is soft, so you cannot use on soft surface like bed or blanket. It will work but less effective than it is placed on a firm surface like a table. I will recommend this mouse pad to all users. It probably also works well with the traditional track ball mouse.

Very nice mouse pad - no tracking issues.
This pad works great. Bought it to replace my old, foam pad. This new pad is very thin which I like - it doesn't get in the way of my wrist like the old pad and the mouse tracking is perfect. It's the same size as the old pad. If you are coming off a foam pad, this one takes a few days to get used to because the surface is very slick in comparison so it's easy to over-correct your mouse movements. Not a big deal, after a few days you'll get adjusted. It's also a lot easier to keep clean, compared to a foam pad.

Super easy to clean
Amazing mousepad, non cloth but acts like it. Able to glide my mouse smoothly across its surface and is very easy to clean than cloth mousepads. Just what I needed.

Smooth and Reliable
The surface tracks well with optical mice and gives a noticeable boost in precision at faster speeds. It stays in place without sliding and is easy to wipe clean. The only minor drawback is that it feels thinner than expected, but performance makes up for it. A solid upgrade for daily use.

Reliable, Sleek, and Surprisingly Effective
I’ve used many mouse pads over the years, but this one from 3M stands out for its simplicity and performance. The surface texture is finely tuned for optical and wireless mice, my cursor glides effortlessly and tracks with pinpoint accuracy, even during fast movements. It’s thin enough to stay unobtrusive on the desk, yet the non-slip backing keeps it firmly in place. What I appreciate most is how well it complements my workspace: clean design, neutral colors, and no flashy distractions. It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t collect dust like foam pads. Whether you're working long hours or gaming casually, this pad delivers consistent responsiveness and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone who values precision and a clutter-free setup.

Smooth Free Movement, Great Tracking, Not Exactly an Objet d'art
I was using an old cloth bound thick mouse pad designed for the mechanical ball mice of yore. It was literally old enough to vote and then some and was all frayed and mushed down about the edges, and, truth be told, somewhat filthy. A real man's mouse pad. Never the less I was not really in the market for a new mouse pad. When you have used something for 23 years, you get attached to it. I just happened to see this 3M pad on Amazon with the claim of better tracking and 50% longer battery life for optical mice. So I decided to give it a go. The 3M mouse pad works fine, but then again so did the old crummy one. I will have to admit though that the mouse moves around far more freely. Tracking is excellent. As far as battery life goes, I will never know. I bought a new Bluetooth mouse a just a week before getting the pad, so I will have no basis of comparison...not that I would anyhow. Who keeps track of how often they change a mouse battery? I have NiMH rechargeable batteries stacked up like cord wood for all the junk that uses batteries, so changing a battery is no big deal but if I can get a blue moon and a half out of a battery rather than just a blue moon, why not. Positives: --It stays put. The foam rubber back does not slide around on my desk, but not having the adhesive backing means that I can easily move it if I want. --Nice free movement. My mouse feels like it is on ice skates compared to the old mouse pad. --Excellent tracking. --Easy to clean surface. Negatives: --The pad is very thin compared to the old pad and the edge of the pad is hard and sharp. If my mouse slips off the pad, one of the sliding feet on the bottom of the mouse invariably catches on the hard edge of the pad and stops dead. This is more of an issue of sloppy mouse handling on my part than a fault in the mouse pad, but it is somewhat irritating. So far I have been unable to discipline myself to keep the mouse on the pad. That's what happens when you use a thick cloth bound pad with mushed down edges for two decades, you get sloppy. --This thing isn't much to look at. It is sort of a minimalist M. C. Escher that never changes. If you like an interesting looking mouse pad, find something else. Not a big deal to me, but it is rather drab. As far as complaints that other reviews have mentioned, I can't say that the chemical smell is over bearing. If I hold the foam side up to my nose, yes, I can smell a chemical smell, but I don't notice it when it is sitting on the desk. I read a review that stated the surface was not durable and subject to excessive wear. I haven't had the pad long enough to observe that. It appears to be durable but time will tell. Other than the hard edge, I am quite pleased with this pad and would recommend it to others with the caveat of the surface durability.

Good mouse pad but bad smell.
This mouse pad moves greats and smoothly than my others but there's other negatives i have for this mouse pad like the smell this mouse pad smells bad and the sides feel like a paper cut, I would not recommend this product to people who are sensitive to smell. (The size is ok)
