Biblical Church Growth Paperback – January 1, 2003

The book was good, a little bit preachy some times, the last chapter summarizes the whole book, so if you need to read the book fast, don't do like I did, just read the last chapter and you will be fine.The book makes some very good points about church growth, and most importantly, biblical church growth. It divides in nine points where church growth can happen.

In a word this book is a disappointment. (A Big One) I actually am a pastor. I clearly understand that you want you're church to be built on biblical principles and from those principles the growth of your church will come.With all that being said this book comes down to:" Here is my theology on church growth. You figure out how to use it.Best of luck hope it works out for you!"Let me explain it more simple terms why this book is a waste of money.Let say my carburetor on my old Ford pick up truck isn't working. So I buy a book on:"Fixing your Carburetor"The book gives me the history of Carburetors.The theory of why carburetors work. Who invented the carburetor.In all honesty do I really give a rats do hickey about all that?No I just want to know how to fix my carburetor !This book falls far short about practical sound advice on Church growth. Therefore I do not recommend buying this book.

I found this to be a very simple to read book with principles that go beyond the current trends of the day in church growth. I am going to lead a group of people in my church through this book. It has helpful follow through steps at the end of each chapter.

Gary McIntosh writes a succinct, but powerful handbook for church growth: loaded with Scripture, history, & anecdotes for every saved pastor!

was cool- practical and incorporated illustration- easy to skim and search words as it is an electronic version- good buy

It was a great look at church growth based on the word of God. It gave solid instruction and information to help those that wants to see their church grow.
