Snoozer Luxury Lookout I Pet Car Seat

The booster itself is large and comfy. We have a Dodge minivan with the Stow and Go seats and the booster fits the middle seats. We recently adopted a young, active Mini Dachshund and he definitely needs restraint. This booster comes ready to install in the car and that is super easy. The seat is notched on both sides for the seat belt to slip through. Here is the problem, the tether that attaches the the dog's harness is a simple loop that goes around the seat belt that holds the booster in place, it can slide along the length of the seat belt and then if the dog decides to jump, the tether slips through those side notches and can leave the dog dangling or on the floor. There needs to be a way to keep the harness tether from sliding on the seat belt, better yet, there should be a built in connection point in the seat itself. Our first test run showed clearly that this is a problem we have to find a solution for, or return this seat for one that has the built in tether.

My little guy weighs 17#, 6 months old, long bodied and leggy, a mixed breed. The issue that I was more concerned about was whether the car AC would be able to give him adequate cool air circulation. I live south of Tampa, Florida and it gets mighty hot in the car during most of the year. With the high sides, thickness and fleece like lining I was afraid he would be too hot. This design works fine. The seat height is just tall enough with the little front dip of the seat that I can aim the passenger vents right at him, even with him lying down, I can see his fur blowing. And he does love to suck up the AC. He seems to like the seat, stays in it, thinks he's all that since he can now look out the windows without standing on me while driving. I have just enough give in the restraining leash that with the window rolled down he can just get his head out the window with his front legs on the foam edge of the bed. Seat seems secure once buckled in the passenger seat, he has plenty of space for more growing room and still be able to curl up and nap. Knowing that he is secured in his seat and not bothering me makes for safer driving habits, for sure. I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and this medium bed takes up the entire passenger seat. I have the bucket seat slightly reclining back and this pet seat fits level, looks nice.

I bought two of these, but I could have gone with one. My Chihuahuas are 8.5 and 9 lbs, and they both fit quite comfortably. The were excited to be looking outside instead of trapped in their kennels. Eventually, they settled down into naps, and they never fought once.

Was easier to install than I expected, and my dog acclimated to it within 10 minutes or so. It feels pretty secure with the shoulder & lap belts holding it down, and the supplied extension that they include was long enough to attach to the shoulder belt and then to my dog harness's D-ring. This allowed my dog enough slack to stand up (as per their picture), or lie down comfortably and face any directions she wanted. My dog is 13-14 lb Italian Greyhound.I was expecting it to be a steeper learning curve for her to get acquainted with this, but within 5-10 minutes she was relaxed and enjoying it. She typically enjoyed car trips anyway but in 10 years and thousands of car miles she's always been in my lap bundled in a blanket with the lap belt securing her down - not the ideal setup for (god forbid) and accident with airbag deployment or driving stick shift either.This product isn't inexpensive nor extremely pricey, but it seems well made and adequate for the price, I am happy with the quality and also appreciated the lack of superfluous packaging materials.

My dog ended up hanging herself, dangling in the air on the freeway driving in the car seat. There are slits on the sides for the seat belt and the tether they give you is to hold the car seat in, but when you connect the tether, the dog can escape out the side and be all the way out hanging. She was choking, gagging and couldn't breathe. It was so scary. I had a terrible time with the seller being not even a bit compassionate about what happened. I tossed the box because it came in one piece and was huge, and I had no room to keep that box. I asked about paying to have it packed and shipped back. The answer was NO. I might have as well been h*** no, he was so rude. And offered to pay only partial return shipping. The thing cost me about $70, and almost killed my dog, No thanks! You can see me in small claims court. Amazon never responded!

I ordered two of these for a small Chihuahua. Seat was to soft and dog still could not see out window very well. Not much for safety either the way it attached to the seat. One of the seats was oddly shaped making it defective to install and for the dog to sit in a it leaned to one side. I returned both and they deducted shipping from my return even though one was defective. I shouldn’t have to pay to return a defective item. Company sent me back an email stating I agreed to their return policy (there was no option other than to agree if I wanted to return the items). A second attempt received the same response. No attempts to resolve the issue with me. I am out $40, almost the cost of 1 ($20 for each one returned). Basically they got the items back and I am out quite a bit of cash. Buyer Beware!!

My small dog took to this seat straight away .. no problem..she loves it ..lies, & is able to look out the front window, which is exactly what she wants..sturdily built..keeps its shape ..so far.. recommended!! I place a cover inside to keep it clean as the material, is lovely but not sure how it will stand up to constant washing..not done so so far..

Very stable and secure, difficult to find one with this much room. Perfect for a miniature poodle, cockerspanual (Cokerpoo) mix. Can sit lay down and secure with a seatbelt attachment included and see out of the windows at the same time. Avoid 6 penalty points and get one.

My little dogs love this so much in fact the day it was delivered my little Chihuahua wanted to try and jump right in & when I put him in he went all silly rubbing his head all over the booster seat it is so snuggly he fell asleep in it for hours. I know it’s expensive but it’s so so worth it. Thank you very much!

My little jack Russell fell in love with this straight away. Sturdy, a good height, looks comfy, just the right size (small) and I can wash the cover.

My dog and I absolutely love this seat. It has opened up a whole new window level experience to him! It is so comfortable he often falls asleep. The product is very well made, easy to secure in the car and washable. Definitely recommend it.
