Grapico Diet Sparkling Grape Soda - 12 oz cans - 12 pack

For reasons I cannot fathom, it has proved impossible to find diet grape pop (yeah I said pop, let’s not fight) anywhere in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs anymore. This is ridiculous because grape pop is happiness. So here I am willingly paying $27 for a case of it. I’d never had Grapico, so this was a bit of a risky & expensive experiment. The results? I am now considering a move to Alabama if for no other reason than to have immediate and significantly cheaper access to Grapico. This stuff is taaaasty. And unlike grape Faygo or Crush, not cloyingly sweet. Note: if you’re looking for real grape flavor, ie tastes like the fruit off the vine, look elsewhere or have a box of raisins. Grapico is for the true grape pop connoisseur who seeks a delightfully artificial, grape candy-esque flavor. Southerners: do not take your easy access to Grapico for granted!

I love this diet grape soda!

This is just my personal subjective opinion but diet Grapico is the most foul tasting soda I have ever tried. I decided to try it despite the exorbitant price based on the glowing reviews of how great it tastes and the whole 'it being a Southern thing for 100 years (even though I had never heard of it - and I'm 53 and very Southern). You may like it and the regular non-diet Grapico may taste better but to me diet Grapico does not taste 'grapey' at all and instead tastes the way I imagine brake fluid would taste. It is also rather flat and not very carbonated despite being advertised as 'sparkling'. I have only tried one can and will admit there is the possibility I just got a bad can but if not - this stuff is just plain gross and could likely be used as an awesome weed killer. So if $37 bucks for a 12 pack of soda doesn't scare you off - give it a try but you have to be prepared for the possibility that you won't like the taste of flat brake fluid being passed off as sparkling diet grape soda.

The best diet grape soda I have ever tasted. Being a diabetic, my choices of diet grape soda were limited to Faygo [and that is not available where I live now] until I discovered this hidden treat. For years, take out Chinese food always involved a grape soda. Once again, I can have grape soda with my Chinese food. I wish I could give it five stars, but charging 27 dollars is a bit excessive. Will I buy more; of course!

It’s so difficult for my husband, who has Type II Diabetes, to find sugar free treats that don’t taste like the cardboard box they came in. He has searched high and low looking for a palatable diet grape soda for years. Enter Diet Grapico. A beloved soda of all self-respecting Southerners (and pretty much everyone else with a pulse!), Grapico has been around for over 100 years and is owned by Buffalo Rock. It has an amazing flavor that is unmatched by any other grape soda, and the Diet version is no exception. The bad thing is, PepsiCo is their bottler and for some reason, they have made it impossible to find in stores outside of Alabama and a small part of Georgia. Not to mention that the Grapico website never seems to have it available for purchase.Amazon came to the rescue and not only saved Christmas, but put an end to my diabetic husband’s suffering. It’s really awful that it’s nearly $30 for a 12-pack, but hey, it’s Christmas and besides, I’d do anything to put a smile on his face. #fantaistoiletwater

I fell in love with these drinks when I went to visit my Mom in Alabama. I have ordered them three times now. The first time, even though the price is RIDICULOUS for a 12pack of canned soda the first order arrived just fine. I had all can arrive safely, no problem. The 3rd order was the same, TOO HIGH, but one can exploded in shipping and when I opened the grape soda they had staining in the box and it was wet. They packed it differently this time. They used the large bubble wrap. The other 2 over priced successful packages they used the very thick brown paper and packed it so the box of soda did not move. I am going to visit my Mom again soon so I will just stock up on the soda when I go. After, the last shipment where one was busted open, at that price that was a sad day for me for sure!!!!!!!

Very hard to find diet grape soda in our area. Usually, we pick up Diet Grape Faygo when we can find it. Saw this on Amazon, and gave it a try. Husband likes it more than Faygo.
