The placemats are very attractive and I've received countless compliments. They are vinyl, but look (not feel) very much like fabric. They are heat resistant, although I never put a hot pot on them; only warm plates or hot coffee cup. They are easy to wipe clean; however, crumbs from toast, cookies, etc. are not as easy to wipe or shake off since the crumbs get caught in the weave. What I love most is the coasters. Love them. They are very thin, don't take up much space and they are very functional. The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star rating is because the placemats arrived folded in half, and it was impossible to get the crease out until the seller sent a followup email a week after I received my order, giving instructions how to remove the crease (using a warm iron). It absolutely worked, but it would have been helpful to have those instructions included with the order. I would recommend this product if you don't mind vinyl placemats.

Yea these mats are a complete lie from what they are advertising. They do nothing the seller says they do. I don't feel like explaining to angry. My great grandfather's table he built himself just got burned from a bowl I pulled out the microwave and sat on this mat thinking it would protect the table.

These placemats really add to the look of our wood table while protecting it.I was a bit concerned these were too thin and wouldn't protect the surface when very hot materials are placed on it. But so far, they have held up well.Easy to clean too.

I love how these stay put. When windy, we don't worry about them blowing away. They are very attractive and easy to clean.

Love these over my clothes ones. I have 5 messy kids and felt like I was constantly replacing the the fabric one. These are easy to clean and still look amazing

These placemats look good. They are simple, affordable and practical. I just run them under water, if needed, to get them clean. So far, so good.

Not as heat resistant as I was hoping. I ended up placing felt place mats on top of these to protect my table. The edges have already started to fray with light use.
