I’ve been using this gel for years, and it’s hands-down the only one I trust to hold my curls without turning them into a helmet. I live in the South where humidity doesn’t play around, and this keeps everything in place with just the right amount of hold—no crunch, no stiffness, and no buildup. I apply it to damp hair, scrunch, and let it air dry or diffuse. What I love is that my curls stay defined all day without looking wet or weighed down. It also plays nicely with other Davines products (especially the OI line), but holds its own even when I use it solo. The real test? I wore it through an entire day of judging Irish dancing while seven months pregnant—and my curls still looked like I had just styled them. Judged Irish dancing all day, danced around a baby bump, and still had curls that held tighter than the schedule. No crunch, no frizz—just definition that lasted longer than my patience. If only everything worked like Davines Gel.

I'm a guy with curly hair, and this product makes my curls come out without making my hair sticky or oily. I'd highly recommend it! Pretty good size bottle too so it will last you a long time!

I love this stuff. It seems a little expensive, however you need such a small amount that it lasts a long time. It's not sticky, it doesn't leave any residue, it lasts all day. If you mess up your hair, add a little water and put it back in place.

Great product

I really only leave reviews for great or terrible purchases. This is a great purchase. Using some sort of gel/spray is necessary because I can get awful frizz and that comes with flakes/crunch. Using Davines medium hold gel has completely removed both flakes, crunch, and frizz from my hair. It gives your hair a great luster and a little bit of body. I've personally found that it holds even to the next day if I put my hair in a bonnet the night before. This is a must have for me in my routine!

I used to buy this at the salons I visited for much more. This makes my hair so soft and gives my baby fine hair a ton of volume.

Item is watery and not the quality that I previously bought from my salon. The product smells different, is watery, and the product itself doesn’t hold hair . Bottle is even different than previous bottle. Do not buy product is not the same.
