installed filter Fitted pipes and pump very easily. Every thing in the kit I needed to get filter into use. Easy to clean with quick clean handle or doing the full clean by taking apart. All in all a good buy and it works very well, pond has cleared well.

Bought this as l was sick of cleaning the old filter out every week. The PFC 3000 has exceeded my expectations, the size and noise level were irrespective, but are great. I turned the supplied pump onto its lowest setting which l found to be more than adequate and my pond is crystal clear, it’s now 6 weeks after install and l’ve yet to clean the filter. It was easy to install and route the water outlet to my waterfall, l have added a 2 way pipe extension to the outlet hose supplying the waterfall, this enables me to direct the water to the waterfall or divert it out externally whilst carrying out the cleaning process, without having to remove any existing infrastructure. In in all a fantastic purchase, only wish l had done it sooner.

I really like this unit, it replaced a 3 year old hozelock unit that failed. A really powerful pump and a solidly built filter unit, it cleared my pond in a couple of days. My only gripe is the waste outlet at 90 degrees, it can make the unit difficult to site. But overall a good product, recommend. Update July 2018 One Year On... I've just downgraded my rating from 4* to 3*. The UV bulb failed, nothing major there as they should be replaced every year anyway, so I went to replace the bulb. The rather poor quality bulb holder in the ballast unit had distorted and discoloured with the heat, I had to dismantle most of it and the bulb came out in kit form. I tried a new bulb but no joy, the entire ballast unit had failed. So I'll order a spare? £25 plus a bulb, that's if they had any stock which they don't, so I'm now without a UV unit.The pump and the filter itself I still like, a good unit that is still going strong. But I've just had to buy a new UV unit, and it wasn't an All Ponds Solutions one. Update Sep 2023 I've gone back up o 4* even though I no longer have these two units. The filter fell apart earlier in the year though use and old age, I would have bought it again if they had any stock and I've replaced it with a virtually identical unit. The pump has just failed with a shattered shaft bearing which fell apart and jammed it solid, but it has been running 6 years 365/24/7 and the only reason I didn't buy another is that I wanted a more powerful variable flow pump. These kits are entry level units towards the budget end of what you can buy, accept that they are not top quality but they work and I think that 6 years of constant use is pretty good going. You will probably need to replace and upgrade things as you go but I will recommend these for what they are.

I bought the All Pond Solutions PFC-3000 for my small pond with just 2 fish in it. The all in one filter, already installed, would never keep it clean. I bought this one based on the product reviews by other buyers. The installation went well. The flexible hose supplied was difficult to fit onto the hosetails but dipping the hose in some hot water made the job a lot easier. After just one day I could see a difference in the water clarity and on the second day I could see to the bottom of the pond. I've also noticed a reduction in the algae. On day 3 the water returning to the pond had slowed down slightly so I did a filter clean with the crank handle as per instructions. Nice and easy and the water flow was restored. Very happy with my purchase, the supplier answered a couple of questions I had promptly. The only criticism I have is the filter doesn't come with any bio medium though some can be added.

All packaging was complete and not damaged on receipt. I rarely write a review but in this instance the pump and filter have worked to clear a pond that was so green we were unable see our fish except when they came to the surface to feed. Setting up was easy, almost from the first day of operation we noticed a gradual improvement to the point where three weeks in and the bottom of the pond is visible and the water clear. In addition the walls of the pond were green and these are now back to the black liner. We have cleaned the filter weekly to start with, an operation that is both easy and efficient without the need to take anything apart; Just turn the pump off twist the blue tap to the outflow, turn pump back on and then turn the handle until the water runs clear. Turn pump off, turn blue tap back to original position and then pump back on. Job done without getting wet or disassembling anything. The only negative was the wire clips when attaching the pipework to the filter etc were a nightmare to get in position to the point I lost patience and went to B & Q for jubilee clips. A small moan but just frustrating . The pond is a former hot tub which has been lined with a black pond liner overall its about six feet square and a max depth of about three feet. The fibre glass makes a good secure base and means the pond is above ground and safe when the grand children visit. Overall I would recommend this pump and filter, it has worked beyond our expectations.

Where do I start: 1/ The pump is powerful and the water fall as a result is flowing beautifully. it comes with 10m wire. has a convenient handle to lift it from the pond. it is 3.5kg so its weight holds it down and no need like lighter pumps to tie it down to something. and I hope it will last a few years because it is a good make. it comes with all the connections even the inflow has a connector. 2/ the pressure filter is much bigger than I thought. But that means a better filter. Its made from very good quality material. it comes with all the connections. the handle for the filter is removable. there was a comment about the handle splitting. I don't really mind that, I have a tool box with socket type wrench to use. there is a filter indicator on this model, I really encourage paying more and getting this one. all the connections come with it. it has a 5m cable. kind of defeats the purpose when you have 10m on the pump, I dont mind because I got the electric supply close to both of them. UV light working perfectly. Some reviews commented on having to replace it. ell, if you use it and it goes in the first few days, unlucky. I keep an eye on it. 3/ The best this is the 10m hose (good bore size that made my old pump and tiny hose look like a bicycle in a F1 race!). the clips are the best kind you could get. 4/ this Package contains everything you need and it is still £100-200 cheaper than the shops I visited. It comes with instruction, little but straightforward. All fitting instructions are on youtube anyway, it was so easy ,I put my own video on youtube, link below. one bad point: the pump does not come with pre pump sponge. Of course I was not expecting that, equally I did not expect the drawing flow to be so powerful that it sucked some of the tadpoles in to the filter to meet their maker. I had to fit a pre pump sponge, I know it defeats the purpose as it will not pull in solid material that this pump can handle extremely well. but that will be short lived till the tadpoles have matured. My pond is a natural pond (frogs/newts, dragonflies/beetles etc) and not for fish. this pump will be more suited for fish, but am very pleased with it to use as it is with a pre pump sponge (around £10) that I will clean every so often. Since this is my first year with a working pond that I repaired last year, I may well get fish letter in the summer, so I am prepared. Good points : all mentioned above, but the best is, the water actually started to clear on day 4! by the weeknd it will be complete! This may look like an expensive thing to buy, but after buying two little pumps (each £30 and more) and asking for a quote from the local pond man ( the same system by another maker plus fitting came up to £680) trust me on this, if you are a beginner, this package is made for you. We have suffered from a dirty, green or cloudy fish pond for years. Have tried all sorts of treatments including "pond balance", "greenaway" and various similar products. Our pond is around 1000 gallons and is raised and we had been advised that the main reasons for our problems is that being raised, the water temperature remains high, particularly in the spring, summer and autumn, encouraging the growth of algae and blanket weed. We have always used a tank type gravity water filter. we have tried cleaning regularly or not cleaning for months, to encourage the algae munching bugs to breed, all without any lasting effect. The only time the pond would be clear would be for a couple of days after a full clean out and then the problems would start again. Our fish remain healthy but constant breeding has also lead to over stocking, which makes the problem of dirty water even worse. THEN found the All Pond Solutions Filter and Pump range. Took a chance on spending yet more money on a new kit. The PFC-12000 model for £212. A lot of money but a last chance for the pond. Once a week for the first 3 weeks I cleared out the pump and flushed the filter box. All done in 20 minutes!! Great! The 4th week I only cleaned the pump. The 5th week I cleaned both pump and filter. Even after the 1st week there were signs that the water was clearing and by the 3rd week the water was clear enough to see to the bottom of the pond (2.5 feet). Now, after 6 weeks the water is CRYSTAL CLEAR. Wish we had found this filter years ago. The pond is still over stocked, which we have to remedy but now we can see all the fish clearly. Cannot recommend highly enough. We have bought spare filters and UV lamp as we don't know how soon we will have to change these. particularly the filters as the originals have had to clear a lot of very dirty water. we will see. But so far worth every penny.
