Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium 3.0 - 3 PCs / 1 Year

After my mother clicked on something she shouldn't have and unleashed the bugs, I had her run Malwarebytes (free) on her PC. She couldn't do anything with her computer without a pop-up coming up for something she didn't want or her mouse intermittently becoming unresponsive prior to running that scan and cleaning out the malware files. That free program picked up 645 issues, but I felt like she needed something more so I bought this Premium version.This version works quietly in the background and can be installed on up to 3 PCs with a 1 year subscription. Setting the schedule to automatically update the program is something that is done when the product is installed.I suggest going into Settings, then Automated Scheduling to Edit the automatically set times. For me those were set to times when I've powered down my PC. I would also suggest adjusting for two scans a day (6 hours apart) versus one a day. The scans don't tax the PC's resources so they should run quietly int he background.I like that this program adds an effective layer of protection to my PC. It's user-friendly and works as expected. Along with an antivirus program, it offers great security and peace of mind. Highly recommend it!

Pros - catches almost every problem.Cons - occasionally crashes on attempted installation of updates but tech support is pretty good at solving problems. Do NOT use "Patch My PC" to update - let mwb update itself.

Be aware if you purchase the 3 PC license version, as soon as you activate the first license the clock starts ticking on the other two. So unless you have 3 PCs that you want to install, only get the 1 PC license. The Malwarebytes application itself is great. The way they do licensing? Not so much.

YEP, AS THE ONE STAR INDICATES, I HATE IT. FIRST, THE DVD DATABASE WAS 2 YRS OUTDATED AND I HAD TO TAKE THE TIME TO UPDATE; SECOND, ON INSTALLATION, THE SOFTWARE IMMEDIATELY SLOWED THE WHOLE LAPTOP'S FUNCTIONS DOWN BY ALMOST 1/2; WHEN A FEW DAYS, ODD THINGS BEGIN TO HAPPEN TO MY LAPTOP - LIKE MY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER STARTED MALFUNCTIONING DAILY; THEN, MY CURSOR, WOULD JUST FREEZE UP SO I COULD DO NOTHING AT ALL; LITTLE BY LITTLE, THIS "ANTI-MALWARE" STARTING BEHAVING MORE AND MORE LIKE A BONAFIDE MALWARE. FINALLY, AFTER NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS CAUSING ALL THE CONFUSION AND PROBLEMS, I DECIDED TO START BY UNINSTALLING THIS "MALWARE". ONLY TO HAVE MY COMPUTER RESTORED REMARKABLY TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE INSTALLING THIS MONSTER AND MY FLAWLESS BEHAVING COMPUTER RETURNED HOME TO ME. I WON'T BE RETURNING IT, BUT IN CASE I DO ENCOUNTER A MALWARE, WILL INSTALL THIS TO SEE IF IT CAN REMOVE THE MALWARE.AND THEN IMMEDIATELY, UNINSTALL IT AGAIN. I DO HAVE A VIRUS PROTECTION THAT DOES SCAN FOR MALWARE SO FOR NOW I WILL TRUST IT AND DEPEND ON IT ALONE. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SOFTWARE UNLESS ONE IS LOOKING FOR A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH YOUR COMPUTER. AND AS SOME HAVE POINTED OUT, IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT SIT IN THE BACKGROUND QUIETLY. ADDITIONALLY, MY WIFI ( WHICH NORMALLY IS VERY STRONG) WAS BLOCKED ABOUT 50 PERCENT OF THE TIME; NOTHING I DID COULD UNBLOCK. THIS IS A DANGEROUS OUTCOME WHEN ONE NEEDS TO RELY ON THEIR WIFI FOR COMMUNICATION WHEN HANDICAPPED AS MYSELF.

Purchased Malwarebytes one-year for 3 devices. Purchase madeine from a reseller. Box with License Key arrived on date promised. Followed installation instructions printed on the License Key card. Kept getting advertisements to purchase other products. The ads blocked me from continuing the download & install sequence. It took many tries for me to get around these barriers to download & installation. Is this because I purchased the card from a reseller? If so, Malwarebytes needs to vet resellers to see if they are overlaying purchases with ads ro increase reseller income.

I am a big fan... yet with this version I has ~issues~ with my system. The error BAD_POOL_ERRORS would occur. Now what the heck is that? I do not know. I turned off MWBites and the issue went away. Go figure. Now I run it ad-hoc, as needed. I do not have it start up when windows ( mine is 8.1) boots up. I now use the std. 'Defender' that is part of windows.I have tried all the anti-*.* stuff out there e.g Norton, Webroot, Bitdefender, AVG, bla-bla-bla , so I kinda have an idea what's what.NOW that said , I am running it on two machines, one gives me issues, the other , not a peep!

Basically, the CD and files i purchased were created in 2015... at least that's what 'disk info' says. So, it's kinda doubtful the product on the disk is current to 2017. BUT, that doesn't matter because you likely won't be able to install it. Instead you'll get a "Run-Time error: '13'"Disappointing BUT, the seller of the CD says to go to the Malwarebytes support site for help. There, if you are lucky enough to find a mention of the same 'run-time' error, it may tell you to adjust your computer's clock and language prefs... (aw hell no) that seems to indicate that it is having some language and/or format issues with the install. I really don't know if the suggested fix will work but... (aw hell no)Don't despair. You did purchase a working product ID and serial number so download the demo directly from Malwarebytes and activate it with theprovided CD serial. All better now.Despite the work-round I'm giving the purchased CD 4 stars, since I did not need to go through the silliness of purchasing the product through CLEVERBRIDGE, malwarebytes 3rd party online billing company. They had me setup an automatic yearly payment to use the product. Unfortunately, CLEVERBRIDGE double billed me for two years for the use of one copy of Malwarebytes... kinda annoying, kinda malware.
