Garnier Skinactive Gentle Sulfate Free Foaming Face Wash, 2 Count

I found this product in my local grocery store last summer and for some reason they stopped carrying it. After searching in other drug stores for it, I came up empty-handed and decided to try amazon. I was so thrilled to find it here! My ex-husband is a dermatologist and his recommendations for drug/grocery store skincare products are spot-on. This cleanser is unscented-which I like because perfumes and dyes are NOT good for your skin; the largest organ of our bodies! It’s super-gentle, foams/lathers very nicely & even removes eye makeup completely! And- it doesn’t burn or hurt your eyes if you happen to get some in them; no problem. Great for all skin types and doesn’t leave your face oily or dry or like having a residue feeling afterwards. I use it day and night and I just LOVE this stuff!! 5 stars hands down!

My daughter and I just started using this Face Wash about two years ago and when I went to CVS/Walgreens last to buy more it was no where to be found...not there, not at Targe, not at Walmart and I only found a few distributors online...and it was naturally more expensive because I think it's discontinued. Anyway, we LOVE this gentle facewash as it is no-drying, lathers up with water added and no medicinal or perfumy smell at all.The only bummer is I think it's going to be really hard to find next time we need to reorder and I'm only willing to pay so much....this price per bottle was about twice that it was in the store....not nice!

I have skin problems. Too much dead skin buildup, which translates to rough, dry, flaky skin. For years, I've had to scrub my face HARD with a textured washcloth on a daily basis, otherwise I start looking like a zombie. But I could only use water, not any kind of cleanser, because I also have rosacea, which causes acne-like sores and perpetually pink cheeks, especially when I use facial cleansers. When an expensive Mary Kay cleanser turned my face bright red, I basically gave up.Then I found this stuff. I'll be honest, I don't actually know what sulfates are or why they should be avoided, but I was desperate and there were a lot of good reviews, so I gave it a try. And wow! I am still in shock at how well it works.The very first time I used it, I noticed a significant change in my skin. It was soft! For the first time in years, my skin wasn't just "good enough," it was actually silky smooth--and I didn't even use moisturizer afterwards. I expected I would have to use the cleanser daily to maintain these results, but I didn't. The next day, my skin was still soft, with no sign of dry, dead skin. I did have to rinse the oils off my nose and forehead, but that's no biggie. Bonus! The sores caused by my rosacea have been greatly reduced. It hasn't gotten rid of the flushed cheeks, but it hasn't worsened them, either.Conclusion: I am in total and complete awe of this product. You don't need much, just a squirt or two from the pump, which means the bottle is going to last a long time. I cannot recommend it enough, especially if you suffer from sensitive skin, extra-dry skin, or rosacea. Five stars, without hesitation! Now I need to see if it comes in a body wash. . . .

I have fair skin with hereditary very dark undereye circles. Always told to be very gentle with my undereye area. "Use your ring finger to apply products gently!" Ha! Yet all the eye makeup removers I've tried, you have to scrub & scrub to get rid of mascara & still wind up with raccoon eyes. Why bother. I'm so glad I read all these reviews & decided to try this cleanser to see if it works. I've been using it for a week before writing this. I'm soooo happy I tried it. All you have to do is lather on your palms, gently cover your face with suds, maybe work into your lashes a little bit & rinse with warm water. Voila, all makeup & mascara is gone. No raccoon eyes, no damaging scrubbing, no irritation. Has a lovely mild scent. I'm allergic to perfumes & this doesn't bother me. I'm not sure how it works with waterproof mascara, as I had to give that up years ago due to the effort to wash it off. If you've struggled with dark circles under your eyes & no cleanser seems to work, just give this a try. Boy, I hope they keep making this cleanser. Thanks!

For 6-ish dollars, I wasn't really expecting anything spectacular. However, I have been pleasantly surprised. This is a gentle, unscented, milky, lightly foaming cleanser that removes all of my makeup and cleanses my skin without leaving it tight. I have oily, but dehydrated skin, so I have to use heavy duty primers, foundation, mascara, and finishing spray. This cuts right through them without stripping my skin. I prefer to put my money into serums and moisturizers, so for me, this is a great cleanser!

I have eczema on my hands and can’t use many chemicals in particular sulfates so this was a blessing for me. It cleans my skin nicely, doesn’t feel dry at all. Nice & smooth. I do remove my eye makeup first with good old baby oil. I don’t wear heavy makeup, usually a tinted moisturizer and this removes it with no issues. It’s saving my hands so it’s a great product for me. I’m so happy I found it.
