Let me start with the reason I gave this product four stars - the price. I find the price a little expensive for the amount of product you get. The product itself is amazing. I use this once a week and my face is so smooth and skin is bright. Even though the mask itself gets really hard and dry my skin has never dried out from this product. If you like face masks, you need this one in your collection.

The Balance White Mud Balancing Mask by Au has several types of exfoliating clay. So far, so good. I generally prefer mineral exfoliants to chemical exfoliants. However, the Au Mask also has bee venom. This is OK as long as you are not allergic to bee venom. Many people who have bee allergies carry an epi-pen with them.I tried the Au Mask. Within five minutes, I felt irritation. My skin started to swell. It was as though I was having an allergic reaction, possibly to the bee venom. I washed it off. I ran to my medicine cabinet to get an antihistamine pill. With so many people being allergic to bee venom, I do not see how you can put it in a cosmetic product, either ethically or legally. What were they thinking?I usually do not give one star reviews, but on this one I would make it zero if I could. This product has a potential for harm.

My tin is dented. It just arrived in a warehouse mailing bag. There was no protective tape, tamper sticker, or cover, or product box... so I am not sure what this product has been through before arriving to me. Ew. I know products are sold by weight not volume, but the container really does look like it is missing a portion, as it is half empty. It is probably all there. The container looks to be a 2 ounce capacity, with 1.7 ounces of product. The product is dense, so after settling, I imagine this is accurate. But still.. between the dented can and the lack of protective seal, I am reticent to use in on my face, and definitely won't be buying it as a gift (which I was considering as I ordered this for me, and figured if i liked it then I would buy it as part of a pampering gift).Too bad because the container otherwise is attractive, the product smells good, and the ingredients are interesting; highly nourishing & repairing for the skin. I love self care products, and doing an occasional mask is relaxing.1.7 ounces has 3.4 tablespoons. Probably use half a table spoon to cover face. So maybe 7-8 full face applications? I guess price it out like a sheet mask. $3.75 per treatment if assuming 8 applications. More or less depending on how much you use.I hope the company considers adding a seal or tamper sticker.

Au' balance white mud mask is a solid 3 stars that could have easily been 4 plus stars with just a few small changes.What I like:*They had me at Manuka honey!*Natural organic ingredients.*Ingredients are ethically sourced and grown.*Their commitment to saving the planet.*This mask product is easy to apply, smooths on evenly and easily with your fingertips.*Feels nice, dries evenly, washes off well.*Left my skin feeling clean and smooth, lightly moisturized and "tighter", looking brighter.What I didn't like:*The tin arrived work a dent in a bubble wrap envelope without any other protection. While I appreciate their commitment to saving the planet and an outer box might be considered excessive packaging, it also would have afforded more protection to the product. The tin lid screws on and off and although mine still seemed to close and seal fairly well, the fact that it arrived dented did make me wonder if the product was as fresh and safe as it should have been?*The product is not safety sealed in anyway. Not boxed, not shrink wrapped, no inside seal, even two sticker tabs on opposite sides of this tin forming a seal from the lid to the bottom of the can would have afforded a measure of comfort.*The tin appears to only be half full. I realize I'm buying a product that is sold by weight as well as the fact that some settling may occur However, it still appears as though you received a half full product.overall I really like this product and we'll look forward to using it again But I'm hoping the company reviews some of their packaging and shipping ideals to fit in with their commitment to saving the planet while still allowing the product to arrive to the consumer in better condition while allowing the consumer a sense of comfort over the safety of the product.

For this price you would think the tin would be full. Nope. Only about half full. The first time I used it I used it as a full mask. Then I switched to using it as a spot treatment to stretch it out. I like how my skin feels afterwards, but there are less expensive masks I like even more that come with almost 3 times what this did.

What a great product and it arrived so quickly. Excellent service. My skin is super sensitive so I have to be very careful what products go on my face. I tried this mask and am very happy with the result - my skin feels clean and soft and it looks to me like it's going to help my open pores. I'm so glad I can keep using this product as it's really gentle on my skin.

My daughter and I have fun applying this mud mask as a part of our “spa day.” Gentle enough for her kid skin and makes my combination skin feel great! I love the scent and I love that it is safe and all natural.
