Great Rash Guard, But Definitely Size Up
Overall, this is a great rash guard and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The material feels high quality, offers solid sun protection, and is comfortable for long days on the water. It quickly dries after getting wet, which is great. With that said, the sizing definitely runs tight. I usually wear a medium, but after reading reviews I ordered both a large and an extra large. The large was very tight and felt restrictive, especially around the chest and shoulders. The extra large was the clear winner. It wasn’t loose or baggy at all, but it felt much more comfortable and breathable without that constricted feeling I had in the large. Once I found the right size, I was very happy with it. If you’re between sizes or don’t like a super tight compression fit, I strongly recommend sizing up twice your normal size. For reference I’m 5’7 & 175lbs.

My favorite one !
It stays tight , great for surfing and that sun protection . Comfortable you don’t feel like taking it out even after surfing . Good quality versátil in and out of water

My everyday shirt.
I have been purchasing these shirts for decades not. They are called my magic shirts, because they are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. They also wick away sweat from your body. I love the way the gusseted arm pits eliminate the irritation most shirts cause to the underarm because there is no seam sawing across the delicate underarm area. They represent a silky lightweight fabric that works well as a sole shirt, or an undershirt/bottom layer.

Rash Guard is supposed to be tight!
I ordered this shirt (O'Neill Basic Skins L/S Crew) in a size bigger than I wear t-shirts (I normally wear L so I ordered this XL). IT WAS TIGHT (not constricting but tight)!!! I knew this going in to it as I have a very limited surfing experience. I will say it's going to give me an excuse to drop a few el-bees (pounds) before vacation in a month so it looks better on me. Regardless, I'm sure it will help no matter what by keeping the sun off of my white chest when we go swimming. I'm pleased with the length of the sleeves and in the waist; it should cover me just fine. If I order another one, it'll be a S/S and an XXL; just so I have a bit more room since I'm not wearing it under a wet suit. If you are looking for a loose fit like a running shirt, don't buy this; there are plenty of running shirts that offer some SPF protection out there and they will fit much looser that this. Overall, I'm still pleased and I will update this review after I'm back from vacation to see how well it worked in the water. Edit: I got back from vacation and this shirt was amazing!!! I got a nasty sunburn the 2nd day I was there (at the beach) and the following day we went to Typhoon Lagoon. I wore this shirt all day and I got great protection from the sun, it didn't agitate my burn (since it didn't move and rub against my skin) and it looked great. I could still lose a few pounds to get it to look better but I'm glad I went with this size. Just snug enough to not move around and the collar and wrist openings were tight enough to not flap. Every time I got wet, this baby stayed cool even after I got out of the water. I'm really glad I got this and I will be getting a couple more in different colors/sleeve length!

Trust O'Neill's Size Chart. It's Accurate!
The quality of O'Neill products are well-iknown, and this product did not disappoint. Believe the size measurements! I first bought the Men's Small, which was my recommended size for the product. It felt really tight, so I ordered the Medium. The Medium, which was not my recommended size by O'Neill, was not as tight, so it felt more comfortable than the Small. Still, it was clearly too big overall: arms noticeably long, fabric bunched at the seam. In the end, I kept the Small (again, that was O'Neill's recommendation for my height and weight). I've never had a rash guard before, so I bet it is supposed to be this tight, and that it will feel more comfortable when I'm in the water.

Great Rashguard
No joke, this is skin tight, but not uncomfortable. Appearance wise, if you are not Fit, it will show every bulge. Well made, worth the money. Just need to workout a bit harder at the Gym. Do consider stepping up a size larger then what you normally wear. I'm in between a S - M, so went with a M and ok with. Not designed to be loose fitting. Does not feel restrictive. Will wear for Tow Foiling sessions and Surfing. Stay Wavy!

These snorkel shirts run extremely small. I normally wear a xl so I started with that.
When the xl came it was like putting on a small. I am 6 ft and 205 starving myself to even be at that weight. I have several visible pounds to loose but they are not going anywhere. The xl was so small i looked like a sausage. Returned and got the XXL. I would have gone higher the first try but the only other available not sold out was 4xx long. Im not trying to make a tent but the xxl is SLIGHTLY less tight then the XL. Nice shirt but uncomfortable at the neck. The shoulders and chest are so tight. The collar has a strange seem right below the Adam's apple and is constricting sort of like a big hair tie wrapped around your neck and is generally too tight. If you have anything on your hips and I mean anything it will show and you will be a sausage too. I think I may give up and try and stretch it over a 55 gallon drum and see if that stretches it out.

Perfect for the pasty white skin
I have always struggle with sunburns growing up. I wanted to have something that I could throw on at the beach/pool and still be able to enjoy the water. I used to wear cotton t-shirts but those get so heavy. This was the solution for me! Pros: I am 5'7'' and about 160 lbs and the medium fit me great. I love that it fits so snug and I didn't have to worry about any loose clothing while swimming. I used this a lot while snorkeling and I didn't feel any kind of drag from it. I also love the color and that it isn't see through. (I chose the gray over the white for this reason). I bought this in 2017 and have used it and various beaches and pools and it is holding up great. I also do love that on hot days, when this is wet, it helps keep me a lot cooler. I haven't ever put sunscreen on under this and I haven't had a sunburn anywhere this was covering. Some of the days I spent hours out on the beach. Plus, you save on sunscreen because you don't have to apply as many places. :) Cons: There are only a couple of things that I don't like but they aren't really deal breakers for me. The gray color does get pretty hot in the summer if you are not wet. It caused me to sweat quite a bit when I wasn't in the water. The other thing, is the the bottom sometimes can pull up. I usually wear compression shorts and tuck this into them. That seems to help the shirt from riding up. Conclusion: Overall, I really love this product. It has been the perfect solution to ward of those pesky sunburns. It is super comfortable and from what I've seen since I bought it in 2017, very durable. I would definitely buy this again.

Decent but tight
A very tight rash vest, order a size or two bigger, especially if you’re of an athletic build. Otherwise, a decent vest that looks good and works well.
