Is this steamer BPA free?

Can you cook any kind of rice with this steamer?

Did you put water in with the rice? Usually ratio of 1:1.5 1 cup rice, 1.5 cups water. True with almost any steamer.

Does this steamer have a keep-warm function? Or how can I keep food warm inside till ready to consume?

Yes, there is a warm button, but the cooking water is hot enough to continue to steam for five minutes or so. Keeping food warm has never been a problem. In the bottom part, I take the shrimp or whatever meat I prepared, and put it on a plate. I then put a protective cover on my table and put the upper part of the steamer on it, and serve the vegetables so as to not dirty another dish to wash.
