Best purchase in a long time. (don't tell the wife)
Extremely impresses with the build quality. Pros: - Great for small garage/shed workshops - MAJOR upgrade over my 10" Delta Bench-top table saw. - Able to make 24in rip cuts (and up to 32.5 inch rip cuts) on plywood with ease. - Very sturdy base - Stand collapses for portability and storage. - Quick jobsite or home shop setup - Storage for included Push-stick. - Built in storage for anti-kickback pawls, blade guard and/or riving knife - Can use 8 inch dado set stack up to 13/16" thick Cons: - Some assembly required; doable by 1 person, but a second person helping is much easier. Summary: I highly recommend. I would purchase it again... wish I would have purchased it sooner. I've heard some claim that the motor is slow to come up to speed. This power tool as many others do best on a dedicated circuit. Meaning don't overload your breaker trying to run multiple tools, dust collector, compressor, AC, heater or the likes all on the same circuit... Additionally, these power-tools don't like extension cords that are underrated. I.e. if you are going to use and extension cord, use at least a 20amp cord. Note: Purchased on sale for $509 Nov 2024 - Miter is decent but you may want to upgrade.

The Ultimate Retirement Gift to Myself: DIY Projects and Accessibility!
After retiring, I decided to revisit my passion for woodworking and DIY projects. Purchasing the DEWALT 10-Inch Table Saw has proven invaluable not only for my hobby but also in my role as a caregiver for my elderly father. I initially bought it intending to create smaller woodworking projects, but quickly realized how useful it could be for making our home more accessible for Dad. The saw itself is excellent—powerful, precise, and sturdy. With its solid rolling stand and precise rack-and-pinion fence, I felt confident and safe as a hobbyist woodworker. I managed to construct a wheelchair ramp for our front porch and even modified furniture to accommodate Dad’s limited mobility. The ease of setup and operation allowed me to complete these projects efficiently and accurately, significantly enhancing our living environment. Beyond just the practical benefits, the DEWALT table saw has provided personal satisfaction and enjoyment. Engaging in these DIY projects not only improved my father’s quality of life but also gave me a fulfilling and productive outlet during retirement. This saw has been worth every penny, enhancing my caregiving experience and reigniting my enthusiasm for woodworking.

Little pricey, but worth the investment
If you're looking for a saw that will cut as precisely and feels as solid as a contractor saw, this is not it. If portability, repeatability, reliability, and ease of use are a priority, then this is a phenomenal saw. If you're a hobbyist who needs a good solid saw to build projects, a good contractor saw can be had for the same, or less money and will suit your needs better. If you're a hobbyist and room is a major concern, than this may be the saw for you. What it comes down to is the fact that this saw is exactly what it claims to be, a jobsite saw. Its incredibly light (compared to my Ridgid MSUV and DeWalt Miter saw combo) and remarkably stable for it's weight. I've had no problems ripping full size sheet goods on it. It does require a second set of hands, or good solid indeed/outfeed support for larger/longer goods, but it's still doable. The higher RPM motor pulls well through tough to cut hardwoods such as oak, even with a less than ideally sharp blade. It struggles a bit on anything thicker than 4/4, but I'm confident enough to take on tougher jobs with the right blade and proper preparation. The assembly was straight forward and quick. The stand is very functional and easy to manage by yourself. Once the saw is set up and usable, it can still be moved around by a single person, but remains stable when feeding stock. I'm impressed. I wasn't sure what to make of the fence system when I first used the saw, but after a little practice and some white lithium grease on the tracks and gears, it operates smoothly and efficiently. The built in tape measure for the fence is surprisingly accurate, though for critical cuts I still double check with a ruler. My arbor was square with the fence and miter slots from the factory. Adjustment appears to be pretty manageable when it becomes necessary. The on saw storage for push sticks, fence, miter gauge, wrench, blade guards and cord are convenient and a good use of space. I do despise the miter gauge. It is very cheap and flimsy, but that's why I travel with a nice, large capacity miter saw. It does it's job, but just barely. For the money I would have liked to see a little higher quality miter gauge included. Overall, I caught this saw on sale and couldn't be happier. If I'd paid full price for it, I would likely be a little disappointed and I'm not above admitting that the rush I feel from deal shopping has likely skewed my review. If you can find it for a good price, I would recommend this saw over anything it's competitors offer. P.S. I'm a finish carpenter and cabinet builder by trade. This saw works 3-4 days a week.

powerful and accurate saw with a solid stand
I’ve been using this DEWALT table saw for a range of home and project work, and it delivers the kind of power and accuracy you expect from a 10‑inch jobsite saw. The motor has no trouble cutting through hardwood, sheet goods, and thicker stock, and the fence system is one of its strongest points. It locks in place cleanly and stays aligned, which makes repeat cuts consistent without constant adjustments. The rolling stand is another major advantage. It sets up quickly, feels stable once locked in, and makes it easy to move the saw around without lifting the full weight. For anyone working in a garage or shared space, that mobility is a real benefit. The table surface is smooth, and the extension gives enough support for wider cuts without feeling flimsy. If there’s anything to note, it’s that the saw is on the heavier side. The weight helps with stability during cuts, but it’s something to keep in mind if you plan to move it frequently. Dust collection is decent but not perfect, so pairing it with a shop vac improves the experience. Overall, this saw offers strong performance, accurate cuts, and a reliable stand that makes it practical for both hobby and jobsite use. It’s a dependable choice with only minor trade‑offs.

Very nice saw!
Love my new saw. Very accurate, easy to setup, powerful motor. If you are limited on space, this is the saw to purchase. Motor is a little loud, get ear protection. Wish it had a soft start motor.

One Fantastic Saw
I am very well pleased with my DWE7491RS... It was easy to assemble and I had only a couple of minor adjustments to make... Overall everything lined up to within 1/64"; on the fence and blade straight out of the box... After reading all of the reviews about the miter gauge for the saw being the worst thing about the saw I purchased an Incra V120 miter gauge... It fit perfectly in the slot and only needed a minor adjustment on the nylon cams to remove the play... It fit perfectly into the storage area on the saw for the original miter gauge with the gauge set all the way to the 120 degree setting... I also didn't bother with installing the Dewalt blade that came with the saw... I added a Freud 50T Carbide tipped blade... It cuts everything like butter, including the seven nails I did not see in an old 2 X 4 stud... I am keeping the Dewalt blade as a backup for when I do need it... I didn't think the 32 1/2" rip to the right of the blade was a big deal until I used it on my very first project... It's nice to have that extra distance with a flip fence that gives you the material support at the fence... Hats of to Dewalt for that design factor... And I can't say enough about the fence adjustment with just the turn of a knob... The shop vac works fantastic on keeping down the mess and I have only had trouble one time with the saw dust building up in the saw and not discharging. It was not the fault of the saw, it was because I was working outside in a misting rain and ripping wet 1 x 4's and 2 x 4's... I also purchased a Freud Dado blade and the Dado blade insert for the saw... I have not used it yet but it is on my agenda to use it in the near future to build a router lift for my router table... I have minimal; space in my garage for storage and the rolling stand takes care of that problem. It folds nicely and takes up very little room against the wall and when it is needed it is just a matter of rolling it to where you need, pop open the legs and set it up... After looking the saw over closely It is my intent to fabricate a custom tool box for the extra saw blade, dado blade, and adjustment wrenches for the saw so that all necessary components are with the saw at all times... It would be nice if Dewalt would have an optional two pole switch for the saw that you could plug in your shop vac and be able to turn the saw and shop vac on with the flip of only one switch... I can't say anything at this time about using the saw to cut a board with the blade set on anything but a 90 degree angle... I will be cutting some 45 degree angles in the near future and I hope to give an update at that time... At this point I am giving the saw a rating of 5 stars because even though the original miter gauge is practically useless, it was a factor that was made very plain in all of the reviews that I read before the purchase... If anyone can shed light on a switch that will operate the shop vac and the saw at the same time let me know... I tried a strip with both the saw and the shop vac plugged... When the strip was turned off both the saw and the vac turned off.. When the strip was turned back on the vac came on but the saw did not... I feel it is a safety feature that Dewalt used in the switch.... I'll give an update as I continue to use my saw... Have a great day and let me know if you have any questions I can help you with... UPDATE... 5/5/19 After reading my original post regarding this saw,, there is very little that I can add.. It still cuts just as good as it did the day I brought it home... I have since added an additional room off of my garage as a workshop and this still remains my choice for a tablesaw… If I have full sheet materials to use I move to the outside to rip large sheets. I have my dust collection system connected to the saw and it does a pretty good job of recovering about 95% of the sawdust.. I have used the dado blade for the saw and it works perfectly... Out of the many thousands of feet of materials I have cut with the saw, there is only one (1) thing that I can think of that would greatly improve the saw.. That is a motor that would only be 1/2 as loud and still have the power as what is on the saw now... As far as an accessary for the saw, a zero clearance insert plate would also be great.. Other than that Dewalt, don't ever stop production on this saw.. As far as I'm concerned this saw will do anything that the DIY/Hobbyist or the professional jobsite contract will ever need it to do... It's more expensive than other models of dewalt saws but with it's capabilities it stand head and shoulders above all of them... If it ever gives up the ghost and dies on me I jst hope that Dewalt still has it in production and has not made any shortcuts that affect the quality or capabilities of this saw.. If there was a 10 rating chart on this saw today, that is where I would put the rating... My next endeavor will be the Dewalt DW745X thickness planer but I will replace the cutter head and blades with the Byrd Shelix Cutter Head... Sure wish I could find one at a better price though.. But, guess that's why there's an old saying that say.... "You get what you pay for".. Thanks for reading...

- Precio alto - Pesada (~50Kg)

A fantastic saw
Having bought myself a fixer upper of a house, and also wanting to get back into some basic cabinet\furniture making I decided that I needed to buy a table saw. I don't have the room for a full size cabinet saw (or the budget) and I wanted something that I could fold up and store easily out of the way in my basement as well as pull up my basement stairs out into the yard. After doing a lot of research I settled on this saw, and I'm really glad I did. It's clearly been engineered my people have used saws before and have put some thought into it. From the location of the push stick storage, which is easy to grab when needed, to the fence mechanism, as well as the easy set up and fine tuning instructions it comes with. Construction wise, its very well built but also light enough that one person can easily manoeuvre it around. The stand is sturdy and easily folds up when not in use. There os no flex in the fence when locked in place, and the table is more than sold as well. The dust collection is adequate, however as I mention below the extra dust port on the blade guard assembly requires a different size hose so I don't use that one. If you did use the guard port, it would probably be near 100% collection. With a shop vac hooked up it collects over 95% of the dust, with no fine dust getting into the air at all. Very nice for indoor use. After about 6 months of regular use I've really only come up with a couple faults, which in themselves are definitely not enough to make me not want to buy this saw again. my only complaints are follows: 1) I wish the saw included a hose to go between the guard dust collection port, and the main under table one 2) I wish dewalt sold a table extension for it. As much as I love the fence mechanism, it makes it tricky to build your own table for it. So if they made one it's be awesome. This isn't a huge issue, as there are other ways around it

Excelente producto

Ease of Use
This table saw is really nice. The 15-amp motor easily cut through all the lumber and wood products I could feed into it. But the highlight was the rack and pinion fence system. Its accuracy, durability and ease of use make it ideal for any new homeowner or general contractor. If its in your price range, I would definitely recommend buying it.
