CB99 38-Inch To 62-Inch Telescopic Snow Removal Car Brush with Ice Scraper

My wife for a few years now had this product and I liked it so much I decided to buy one because I could not find one locally. This is great for cleaning off snow from one side of your car, truck or suv. I am 6'6" tall but it is still hard to reach across a car windshield and push snow which is better than pulling it onto your boots. I like that this extends to a few different lengths while still being very sturdy. When there is ice I prefer to detach the ice scraper from the whole unit so as to get more power behind scraping ice, plus the squeegee/bush side is not in your way. This detachment option is a great addition. I like that the squeegee/brush end also can be adjusted to different angles but I don't usually use it but my wife being shorter has used it in that way.My only complaint is that when cleaning vehicles off while the device is extended water from the snow gets on the metal and if cold enough refreezes so you can not retract back so it is stuck at 62 inches if fully extended and that is tough to fit in a car or suv. Not a big deal but some people when in a hurry may want to put this back in their car and it won't retract so I would suggest when cleaning off your vehicle to start it first to warm it up and then after cleaning and it won't retract hold the metal part over the vent and it should melt the ice enough to close it. That or buy some ice melt spray that they sell for car door locks and use that. Otherwise I am very happy with this for both snow removal and ice scraping as well as squeegeeing windows that are dirty from winter driving.***UPDATE***I bought two more of these for my wife to replace the original one she had that had broken while moving, and one for my mother-in-law who said she needed one. I really like this product and when I take it out at work or in my neighborhood people are always impressed with how quickly it clears off snow and that I can clear my SUV from one side of the vehicle instead of cleaning one side then moving to the other side. Great product.***UPDATE***3/11/2015Here in the Southeast Pennsylvania we received a 8 inch heavy wet snowfall the other day. I used this Dart extendable scraper/brush a few times the day it snowed on a couple of cars. I went out to clean off the cars when there was about 3 inches or so on the cars as to not stress the product with the predicted 8+ inches of snow. On the last car of the last cleanup after the snow had stopped the scraper/brush broke. Right at the plastic piece that locks or unlocks the extendable metal piece. I still could use it but I noticed that this may be the last time as it was looking over stressed and may have a catastrophic failure. The next day I contacted Dart through their website explaining what happened and have yet to get a response back. I have lowered my review because of this as a product is only as good as they company that stands behind it. I can easily replace this product but it would be nice to hear the company respond to a customer email about a product that I did not misuse in any way that happened to brake upon use. Hopefully I will hear back soon.

I have used the small hand held 5 dollar products for the past 4 yrs and they were a pain to work with. Having a telescopic makes life so much easier while cleaning the roof of your car. Using the soft scraper removes most of the snow loosely attached to the surface of the car in one clean swipe. The brush helps clean snow dust or light snow from your windshield easily. the hard scraper is nice to clean ice from the wind shield. Having a foam grip all throughout the handle makes it much more comfortable to use it during bitter cold days. It is also sturdy and doesn't buckle, bend or flop when cleaning heavy wet snow. The telescopic arm collapses to a small size so you can stow it away easily.all in all a good purchase. I hope it lasts a long time and serves me well trough future new england snow storms:)

I purchased this item in December of 2013. I reside in the East Coast and compared to the winters of late this winter was gearing up to be a rough one. The first major snowfall we had made me anxious to grab my Dart Seasonal CB99 Telescopic Snow Removal Car Brush w/ Ice Scraper and clear away the approx. 8 inches of snow that had fallen on my vehicle. I drive an average make sedan, nothing too big but I decided to use the telescoping option on the car brush/scraper to make cleaning off the roof my my vehicle easier. Now here I will explain why I gave this item only 1 star. Yes everything worked as it should----the scraper scrapes, the brush brushes but the point at which the item telescopes is the MAJOR issue. If you extend the item to anywhere near the full 62 inch length and use it---the area at which the item physically extends out of itself becomes a weak point. There is a plastic button that you push to telescope the brush/scraper in increments. The button is plastic, it is connected to a plastic tube from which the metal portion of the brush/scraper telescopes out from. So you have the inner metal telescoping portion of the tool extending out of the outer plastic portion of the item which is controlled by the plastic button. When you telescope this item, the black plastic outer portion becomes a major weak point. On first usage the plastic snapped and the button was lost. So now if I use the brush/scraper it freely telescopes and is no longer worth a ****. $23 for snow and ice scraper/brush is a LOT. If you pay for quality you should get quality. I wanted this item to work. I needed it to work. It failed miserably.

The extension component of this makes it so worth it. I live in chicago and we got 70+ inches of snow for the 2014 season. So undoubtedly we used this a lot on our SUV. We park outdoors and we are constantly cleaning our car off with snow. Its the snows fault, not this product by Dart. This thing can clear off the moonroof, top of the car, and hood all from one side of the car. The extension allows me to just walk up and down the side of the car and clear the whole car, it makes it simple and painless! I havent had a chance to use the ice scraper yet, It doesnt seem like the best ice scraper but it detaches and lets you get extra power if you need it. I would recommend this. The construction feels firm, even when fully extended. The foam grips also provide comfort and keeps your hands warm if youre not using gloves. It clears off inches of snow on your car in minutes! I would use this more for snow than for ice.
