*Update - Port your box!After having this sub for a few months, I decided I wanted to go with another one so I could have a lil more bass in my life. The bass was good but I was missing that “low end” that some other reviewers have mentioned missing as well. I ported the box I made for the second sub - big difference. That low end bass is in my life now!🔊🎶😊🎶🔊Fiberglassed this behind my back seat. This is exactly what I needed in my life! Sounds great!!🏌🏽‍♀️🔊

These are pretty good subs. I've played with car audio since I was about 15. I'm 39 now. So I've had a couple of different subs. I have had several pioneer shallow subs in different vehicles. I haven't been disappointed by them yet. They perform well if you supply them with the suggested box dimensions, and the correct amp. If you're looking to get some serious bass and flex the windshield, then this isn't what you want. But if you want a good solid bass through most different kinds of music that is capable of getting pretty loud for a shallow subs. It is! It's not a competition sub, but it's a great sub for a daily driver.

So I was a major Bass Head in my teens and twenties. Had quite a few serious SPL systems with some serious setups. Decided to get some moderate beats after years of stock. Heard these had good reviews and for the price I figured I'd try em out. Built a custom underseat sealed box from 3/4 MDF with .70cuft. for a pair of these 12" Pioneers (divided for two .70cuft sides) added a 900 rms @ 2ohm amp and stock HU. Kicked em on and OMG!!! These things hit hard AF for what they are! They legit rattle my ENTIRE cab (2010 F-150 Crew) at 40-60Hz. They are decent at 20-40hz but don't expect any hair tricks. In the sealed box they def rock some tight helicopter bass kicks though I may end up porting them to get that lower hip/hop bass since the sealed/ported cuft are almost the same! For the price and quality I would def recommend!

I custom built a pair of down firing boxes at about .90 cubic ft for an 08 GMC Canyon extended cab. THEY POUND!!! Great subs, great price. Done knocked my sons rearview mirror off...

I had this sub for exactly 6 months ran it with a pioneer amp running 1,600 watts, it’s was amazing until one hot day (so hot my dash cam wouldn’t turn on) I was listening to music and my sub started smoking so my amp auto shutoff, came back from work and my sub is rock solid, I think I melted the voice coil in it, contacted pioneer a week ago to see if it Fell under warranty, still no response

The seller sent a very used, marked up and scratched up speaker for a brand new price! Plus speaker rattles. Apparently been used heavily b4 I recieved it. Then I have to pay $60+ to return it cuz the seller say nothing is wrong with the item. It was false advertised!!🤨🤦‍♂️👎👎
