This is the bed alarm to get!
This alarm is great! My 93-year-old mom felll on the way to the bathroom one night and it didn't wake my brother up so she spent some time on the floor before he found her so I bought two of these - one for her house where she lives with my brother and one for my house because she spends half her time with me. I love that there is no pad she has to sleep on that might be uncomfortable or set the alarm off every time she shifts her weight. With this one we just set the sensor on the floor near the head of the bed and when she puts her feet on the floor to get up at night it goes off. I also love that there's no alarm in her room to scare her. They used a bed sensor when she's been in the hospital before and it set off a blaring alarm right by her head. If you want to MAKE an elderly person fall, just scare the crap out of them when they try to get up at night! The pager with this one is wonderful. It has two settings - alarm and chime. I don't love the idea of waking up to an alarm at night but the chime setting is fine. It makes a "ding-dong" noise just like the door chime when you enter some stores. The pager is extremely loud and doesn't have a volume control but my brother and I just close it in the drawer next to our beds - I wrap mine in a washcloth too - and then it's perfect. Plenty loud to wake us without startling us or waking the whole house. I also like that it only goes off as long as she's breaking the beam so it doesn't chime endlessly or have to be reset every time it's set off. As soon as she steps out of the beam, the chime stops. The sensor and the pager each work on two AA batteries which is also nice because nothing needs to be plugged in. I just have to remember to turn them on at bedtime and off in the morning. This system works great and is so inexpensive it could be used anywhere you want to track someone's movements. It would be a good crib alarm too if you have a baby who climbs out. I might even get one to put across my daughter's window at night so I don't have to worry about someone breaking into her room. There could be lots of uses for this wonderful little system.

Distance is no problem for the pager
I bought this because my mother lives in my in law apartment and she wanders at night and is a fall risk. The pager works all the way to my house! It is super loud so it wakes us up no problem. This device has already earned a five star for us. I will be recommending this to everyone.

It very sensitive to movement and works on non-charging batteries.
This little sensor is awesome. It has two ring tones that are like loud door bells. It goes off at the slightest movement which is what we need to monitor our senior in our home. Highly recommend it for in-home or anywhere you need to know if something or someone is getting up, going out day & night.

Nearly Perfect!
Very sensitive with good remote range and works well for auntie with Alzheimer's. I keep it aimed over the top of the bed while she's sleeping or napping. After taping over portions of the lense and sussing out the just-right-spot, I almost never get false alarms due to her raising a leg or an arm while lying down. (If not for her small dog that visits her in bed often, I'd just aim the transmitter along the floor by the bed, greatly simplifying things.) Definitely spring for the 110 VAC wall plug, and stop worrying about battery life. I took off a star for two reasons. 1-the remote has two alarms positions and the off (silence) position, selectable via a sliding switch. The switch slides from Alarm 1 (quite loud and do-able, think of the alarm that the door at a 7/11 makes when you go in or out), then Off, then Alarm 2 (a very loud, annoying sea-chantey thing that goes what feels like forever). When the thing alarms, and you're heading for auntie's bedside, it's very easy to slide the switch from the alarmingly loud Alarm 1, PAST the "off" position and into the horrifyingly loud (and don't forget long and annoying) Alarm 2. If your Alzheimer's-suffering auntie spent her early career crewing in square-rigged commercial sailing vessels, this loud, perky, sea chantey could spark some comforting bit of nostalgia for her, otherwise, it's completely loud and possibly disturbing. To fix this I glued a very short section of a wooden skewer stick into the Alarm 2 part of the switch, so now I can silence the alarm by feel while on the run. 2- The main transmitter is housed in a nice "rockable" bracket, and comes with some double-back sticky tape for mounting the thing precisely where you need it. Unfortunately, you loose most if the rockability and mountability when you plug the 110 AC adapter into the back. Just be aware of that. Overall, I'm thrilled with this low-cost solution to everyone getting a little shut-eye around here.

🔥 Tiny Box Never Sleeps! 😂 Night Shift Security Guard Coworker Every Caregiver Needs! 👀👮
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally... an Alarm That Alerts Staff Instead of Just Scaring the Patient. 😂 The Night (and Day!) Shift Coworker Who Never Takes Breaks, Sleeps, or Misses Anything 😂👮 I Hired a Night Shift Security Guard… It Was This Tiny Box 😂 Whoever designed this thing has clearly spent time around caregivers. Because they figured out one very important fact... The person who needs to hear the alarm usually isn't the person peacefully lying in bed. 😂 The Smart Caregiver Wireless Motion Sensor Alarm System quietly monitors movement while sending the alert straight to the caregiver's wireless pager. Simple idea. Huge difference. 🤍 Why I Like It During caregiving, the little moments matter. 🚶 Someone starts getting out of bed. 🚪 Someone heads toward the door. 🌙 A patient begins moving around after everyone else has gone to sleep. Instead of filling the room with loud alarm noises... The pager lets you know it's time to check in. Calmer room. Less stress. Better awareness. 🌙 A Huge Win During Night Shifts One feature I appreciated more than expected... Closed bedroom doors. You can't always see what's happening inside every room, especially during overnight shifts. This system sends the alert directly to the caregiver, making it much easier to know when someone may need assistance—without constantly opening doors or doing unnecessary room checks. 👀 More awareness. 🚶 Less guessing. 🤍 Quicker response when it matters most. 📟 The Pager Is Surprisingly Thoughtful I love that it gives you options. 🔔 Alert Sound #1 🎵 Alert Sound #2 🤫 Silent mode when you don't need another device chirping at you all shift. Different caregivers. Different environments. Different preferences. It's nice and incredibly helpful having the flexibility. 🔧 Easy-Peasy to Install & to Adjust One thing I really appreciated... Changing the sensor angle is refreshingly simple. No complicated setup. No engineering degree required. 😂 Just point it where you want to monitor movement, make a quick adjustment if needed, and you're good to go. Sometimes "easy" really is the best feature. 🚶 It Even Helps With Unexpected Visitors 😂 Another unexpected bonus... Sometimes people wander into rooms they weren't planning on visiting. Sometimes they *swear* they were just looking for something. Sometimes... they're on a mission that only makes sense in their own head. 😂 The motion alert lets staff quickly check the room, redirect visitors if needed, and reduce repeated motion alerts throughout the day. 💥 Problems It Helps Solve: ✅ 🤍 Keeps loud alarms away from the bedside ✅ 📟 Sends alerts directly to the caregiver ✅ 🚪 Helps monitor movement behind closed doors ✅ 🌙 Great for overnight caregiving ✅ 🚶 Helps monitor wandering or unexpected movement ✅ ⚡ Faster awareness with fewer unnecessary room checks ✅ 🔔 Two alert sounds + 🤫 silent mode ✅ 🔧 Easy-peasy adjustable sensor ✅ 📡 Reliable wireless range 👩⚕️ Perfect For: 🏥 Hospice care 🤍 Family caregivers 👵 Seniors 🧠 Memory care 🌙 Overnight staff 🚪 Bedrooms with closed doors 🏡 Anyone wanting extra awareness without adding extra noise ⭐ Final Verdict — 5/5 Some products try to impress you with dozens of flashy features. This one simply solves a real caregiving problem. 👀 It quietly watches. 📟 It quietly alerts. 🤍 And it helps caregivers respond without turning every movement into a room full of loud beeping. Honestly... It's like having the world's most dependable coworker. 🔋 Keep fresh batteries in it, and you're absolutely golden. 👀 It doesn't miss movement. ☕ It doesn't disappear on coffee break. 😂 And it never complains about working the night shift. Sometimes the simplest caregiving tools end up being the ones you appreciate the most.

Absolute necessity for elderly monitoring
Have two of these alarms and we could not be more pleased! One is dedicated to keeping an eye on our elderly parent in bed. The other unit is for when parent is watching TV in family room and we are outdoors gardening, in the barn or mowing. The alarm sound component is portable. We slip it in a pocket or just place it where we're working. We can hear the alarm chime in a pocket over the tractor noise - great for when parent moves or needs our help. We mow about an acre and the unit has no issues covering this area. We use these great little monitors in conjunction with radio wave baby monitors (we never use wifi monitors due to hacking privacy issues). Our elderly parent is monitored while we are going about household chores by day and during the night. Five years of 24/7 use these monitors are still reliable. They are easy on batteries. We've only changed batteries out twice in three years. The unit actually lets you know when the batteries need changing - the alarm starts to sound like a creature from the outer limits. Please note the two alarm sound choices are somewhat sappy, and very loud. That's actually a great feature if you are a sound sleeper or on a tractor. We keep the alarm unit outside our bedroom as it's a bit startling when it goes off. We're ordering a couple more units as spares. We also use the gardening unit to keep an eye on our open (and locked) sliding screen door, just in case a visitor comes there instead of the front door. Unit is simple, low cost, so far completely reliable, no wifi to mess with, no apps, just your ears being alerted if your patient is moving. Kudos to the manufacturer. Highly recommend!

OK. Easy to use. no volume control new - model off switch doesn't respond quickly.
I have used 2 of these for my wife with dementia (and I have just ordered 2 more because one failed. Haven't received them yet). She needs to be monitored when she is up. I use one in her bedroom and one by the bathroom door so I know when she is coming out. They are very easy to set up and pets will activate them in they are on their level. I have some complaints. 1) The first one I bought suddenly failed after about 2 1/2 years. not a battery problem. it seems to be a pager fail but nothing obvious when I took it apart. 2) both sensors use separate pagers so I have to carry both pagers. 3) There is no volume control and for carrying it on my belt, it is too loud and my wife hears the pager, but I don't think she makes a connection to the sensor. 4) When I first started using it the light on the sensor alerted my wife to its presence and she would turn it or cover it up. I covered the light with opaque tape and as her disease has progressed so I don't think she realizes what alerts me to her activity any longer' For the new model received Mar 2018 - the off switch on the pager doesn't immediately stop the chime, one mode chime continues for several seconds. No to happy with that. Still no volume control and the belt clip on new version doesn't work as well.

Life saver !
Love this little setup it has made my night as caretaker so much better. I can set this up, place the caretaker receiver in my room with doors close and it goes off and let’s me know when my MIL wants to get up to bathroom as soon as her feet touches floor.I place the motion piece on the floor just under the frame and it pickup about a three foot wide area. No more jumping up when I had baby monitor on cause it would pick up noises which made me believe she was try to get out of bed .I was up and down several times a night. With this set up I can go to sleep , be woke up only when necessary. Plus I know other people mention you can’t adjust volume and it is loud, but I have a hearing problem and don’t wear my hearing aid at night so it is perfect for my sound ranged it has two tones one like a door bell the other a tone that goes off twice. My husband says it is loud but you hear it in the room with receiver in it not in the person's room. She just sit up it only goes off while her body is in range and if she tries to stand to get on bedside commode. I highly recommend this to anyone. Plus I turn off during the day if she’s in her wheelchair so battery will last longer.Use baby monitor during day if I am out of her sight. UPDATE: Still love this set up so reliable. Been two months batteries haven’t been changed, but I am good about turning off when not in use. I would buy again if I ever have the need. It’s loud also so with a hearing problem I have no problem hearing and the receiver covers a large range I can go out side with it and it still receives which puts me a good 100 yards from base.I has pay for it self in my getting more sleep.

Works great!
Works well. The sensitivity zone is quite large leading to false positives. Eg wind blown curtain moves. Need to experiment with placement. Wish that there would be a movement sensitivity setting like that of auto lights.

Excellent Gazette For Care Giver To Elders
An excellent Gazette for caregiver to Elders. My mother is 93yrs old, she is a case of Senile Dementia/Alzheimer's. I have installed this Gazette near her bed , so whenever she awake and about to leave the bed , this Gazette sounds immediately and makes me alert to help her , otherwise she may fall and can get injured. Even at night if you are sleeping , the beep awakes you and make you alert. This is a must for your loved one's who are quite old and always require help by some one/Caregiver , so that they should not remain unattended. Packing was too good and batteries were already installed.
